If Dantoni is still there, I'd place my bet on Amare. The Suns will be completely done by then, and Amare will be completely free to sign wherever he wants.
Either way NYC has done itself well finally.Comment

Re: Clippers Acquire Randolph for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley
Thomas went about it wrong. He tried to shake things up by trying to win while being over the cap.
He kept saying that New Yorkers couldn't accept a rebuilding project or a poor team for future improvement, but that's exactly what the Knicks were and they weren't even trying to get better in the future.
If Thomas had just held his chips and didn't acquire guys like Curry, Jeffries, and James then he would have been fine. His young guys are the stars right now (Chandler, Lee, and Robinson).
Think about all the expiring contracts the Knicks traded away to add more salary and less flexibility. Thomas tried to reason that he rather trade an unknown draft pick for a known commodity. It's ironic that Thomas' greatest gift to the Knicks was his ability to draft.
The Knicks could have had LaMarcus Aldridge. This entire process could have started long ago. It's a shame."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Tim Thomas is the softest guy ever to play in the NBA.
I remember he cried off when Coach Karl asked him to go in as a PF and he only wanted to play SF
