    Kidd staying in NJ

Seems a pretty strong indication he is staying IMO.

""I don't want to be here if [Martin's] not," Kidd told the newspaper. "If that is what's driving him, I want him to keep doing that. (But) he shouldn't think that if he has a bad game that, 'Well, he's lost Jason.' Because I'm going to be here when (Martin and Richard Jefferson) are in their prime and I am an old man and I can say that these guys are carrying me now."

well hopefully he means that. the best thing to happen is if he stays. Jersey needs to stay a good or very good team. they have been dead for so long. Jason gets the turnpike and things turn great. hope he stays. now if the Knick Knacks can get good, there can be a NY-NJ-Philly thing going.

                I would after that quote.

That's not a pledge to the fans or management.

That was a pledge to his team mates and friends.

                Very different.

Yeah, it would be awesome if Kidd stayed in NJ, but I just don't see them (or any other team in the east) winning the championship until the west weakens. And I don't see any foreseeable future trades to make them better, which wouldn't include Kidd or Martin.

Also, is it me or does it seem like Martin doesn't get much credit for what he is capable to doing? And do any of you think he will get better? In that previous article Kidd compares Martin to TD, KG, and Wallace and I just don't seem him becoming that much of a quality player. Well, maybe better or as good as Wallace. But TD and KG?
