He's not trashing him lol. He didn't say one bad thing about Oden at all. Plus he was telling truth. Shaq is still the top of the mountain. He is like the old master wich a shogun is. Those other guys are up and comers. They don't have the resume Shaq does. Then lastly you have to take most of Shaq's comments as jokes and having fun. Thats is what he is doing most of the time. He doesn't take himself too serious and you shouldn't either.Comment

But, that wasn't Shaq's point.
He is merely stating the truth. Right now, he is the active pinnacle of the center position when you look at his entire career.
Oden can't come in and expect to be close to that peak when he hasn't even beat out Yao and Howard.
Really, this is just Shaq doing what he does best. He's just pushing a young player to be better. He's letting him know that no matter what the media says, he needs to continue getting better as a player.

Well, thinking about it again, it doesn't really matter because next week Shaq is gonna say that Oden is the best center this season and that he reminds him of himself. Give Shaq a week and he'll always say the complete opposite.My Specs:

I know a lot of people like Shaq but to say he's still the "top of the mountain" is a joke. Shaq has turned into nothing but a trash talking joke. You can't take anything he says seriously. He was great but not anymore. That's just the way it goes you get older and lose your skills. The problem is he still thinks he's great and the best when he's just an injury ridden decent player now. He's just trying to piggyback of someone so he can get his final ring. Now he's talking about how "thinking back on it, him and Kobe had some fun and they will go down as the greatest 1 2 punch" and he could see going back to LA at the end of his deal. that's pretty funny considering a couple of years ago he hated the guy and the *** tatstes thing. He sees how good the Lakers now and has changed his tune. That's pretty shameless. Shaq's always had a huge mouth the only problem now is his huge *** can't cash the checks. I like the guy, i've defended him many times in the past against the "he's just big, he's not any good" arguments. He just needs to shut up now though, when you can't back your talk up anymore you look like a fool.Comment
