Re: Eddie Jordan Done in DC

Cebby...I could not of said it better. Eddie's one downfall is that he has not got Young into the lineup and Stephenson out. Stephenson is the so called better defender, but is shooting and offense is horrid. Young needs to be a full time player getting 30+ minutes.

Daniels needs to go as well. We need a real point guard. Man, I cringe for saying this, but would have loved if we kept Steve Blake.

I think the Big Three's contracts are part of the reason of the poor cast around this squad, and when you add to that horrible contracts to Etan, Stephenson and Daniels...it makes the situation worse. There is no moving room. Ernie stuck with Deshaun cause of his friendship to Gilbert. Big Mistake. You can't sign Mason cause of that, and with the contract offer to Blatch. You do need to keep Blatche cause his upside is there....

All Ernie's other picks except for Young and McGee, have not turned out as of yet. Jury is still out on Blatche. Losing Mason and Blake, and not retooling the bench is a huge mistake by Ernie. We have two many bigs who can't play....(Pecherov, Etan, and McGuire...could throw in Blatche but won't for now) and not enough actual Playmakers. Brown, Daniels, & Stevenson can not get it done. And way to many guys hurt.

Yeah, not a recipe for success, but I would not have fired Eddie for this. Yeah, couple of bad losses. But you can not win with just Butler and Jamison. You have to remember, the Wiz barely made the playoffs with those two after Gilbert went down. Barely. He is the force that drives them and makes Butler and Jamison that much better cause defenses use to have to account for Gilbert's slashing, leaving either of those two open for the pop.

We now get to start all over with a new offense.

The Blatche move is the only i'll criticize because ever since he got his money, he thinks he's a freaking guard. Bringing the ball up the court doing all this and 1 nonsense. NEWSFLASH BLATCHE, YOU ARE NOT A GUARD!!

Nor should you be shooting beyond 12 ft.

Blatche tried to play like Nick Young..even though the last couple games Blatche been showing signs..the game aginst Houston he really surpised me, I was thinking he tried to showoff because it was on espn but then he did the same thing aginst the Knicks, so hope he starting to get it together. In both of them games Blatche didnt' see the 4th him or Javale..and that's when Houston and Knicks did they damange.

Ed Tapscott to be the interim coach.

I'm pretty sure that the Wizards were floating around .500, he'd still have a job because that would show that they can hold on until Gil comes back but the fact that they were 1-10 with 2 All Stars when there are teams who don't have ANY All Stars and are doing somewhat better than what the Wizards were, didn't help either.

uh, so what's going to happen when this team never makes the playoffs again, and eddie is consistently being swept in the first round with the Thunder???

You do know the Thunder are in the Western Conference, right?

Anyway, I see Blatche actually decided to be a Big Man last night and not a 6'10 guard.

Playing Stevenson more than Nick Young is inexcusable.

Find some coach out there who can figure out that the starting lineup should include Young, Butler, Jamison, and McGee. I could do that.
How confident are you now about Washington being a lock for the 4-6 seed? Still too early to call it?

Somebody was wrong about a sports projection in the preseason?

Clearly this is the first time something like this ever could have happened.

It's hard to tell, but I am guessing after reading that that you're not too confident about it at this point. Still early though.

Still early...only 14 games have been played so far. The current 8th seed in the East is at .500.

I think that Washington could at least play/get to that level, or should I say has a chance if they can get healthy and get Gilbert back.

Would it really make a difference...No?

If they were to somehow make the playoffs though they would just get swept in the 1st round anyways so whats the point of even discussing the Wizards anymore this season?

It'd be interesting to see if Tapscott would allow Arenas the same type of freedom Jordan gave him when he comes back.
