Watching that Raps/Celts game made me feel bad for him. I'm a huge Bosh fan, and I don't want Bosh to "be this generation's Kevin Garnett," like a poster said over there.

Hopefully he can win somewhere, if not with the Raps, then with someone else. I hope he leaves tbh, that team isn't good enough to win.

If anyone one else isn't going to say it then I will: Bosh is a fantastic scorer and midrange jump shooter but he is on the soft side and just got BULLIED in both his games against Garnett. Bosh is not defensive minded at all and that is what will keep the Raptors from advancing in the playoffs. With that said, Bosh will be making the trip to Arizona for the All Star game.

              uh, no

Bosh got good positioning on Garnett a number of times during the game. The team in general is soft and seem's scared of Garnett. Thats a part of what was feeding into Bosh's frustrations, that when he was battling with Garnett in the low post, he was not being fed the ball. I'm not sure if this can all be placed on Jose, but fact is Bosh got good position a number of times in the low post and his teammates did not find him.

On the defensive end, Bosh will never be the force that KG is, but it's simply not fact to suggest that his defense is a detriment to the team; he's an average to slightly above average defender.

Dawz, I know this is hard to take but Bosh is not a good defender at all. If you attack his chest or attack the basket against him it is a layup. The two "above average" defenders on that team are Jamario Moon and Anthony Parker. Sorry but it is the truth.

Meh i'm gonna avoid this thread...it's just pure speculation about what will happen 2 years from now...

anyone comparing this to KG is crazy...

                  BC is NOT Kevin McHale.

wow.. sorry, but wow... Jamario Moon is athletic and can rack up steals and block shots for his position, but he would also lead the league in blow by's this year. He goes for every single pump fake you can throw at him.

So as someone who has watched every game, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're misleading assessment is based on you only seeing their two games against Boston, but trust me, Jamario's defence ( and AP's to a lesser degree ) has been far more detrimental to the team than Bosh

And no, Bosh is not an automatic layup for anyone and everyone attacking the basket against him. KG didn't even go off, so i'm not sure what it is you're watching ? If it's everybody else getting to the basket, guess what, Bosh cannot be held responsible for every blow by from the perimeter. There is a limit to the effectiveness of help defense, and he cannot be expected to effectively be the help defender for every single perimeter blow by. At some point Moon/Parker/Calderon/Kapono/Solomon all need to be held accountable for at least giving solid man to man effort.

The Moon and Parker references speak to you going by reputation alone, because trust me, Moon and Parker have been tremendously below average defenders this year

edit... Forgot to mention that the playing time that Bosh earned at the Olympics was more for the way he was playing on defense, not his offense, and thats a fact that was stated by the coaches and other players. Sorry, but it's complete nonsense to suggest he's far below average as a defender. Is he KG ? No, I already stated as much. But I probably undervalued him by saying he's average to slightly above average

You really have no idea what your talking about, outside of JO Bosh is our best defender, Jamario is terrible, yea he can block shots and get the odd steal, but he gets blown by every other time. Anthony parker is ok at best on defense, but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt because he guards the other teams toughest wing players. And that whole thing with Bosh getting frustrated got blown out of proportion, I dont think hes going anywhere. BC is a very good GM and will take risks to try and make this team better.

Ugh, Raptors fans. They hate it whenever I say one bad thing about Bosh. Jermaine O'neal is a soft player mentally and physically. On top of that O'neal is defenseless nowadays and is way too content to settle for 20 ft jumpers. He has always been an overrated player.

I never said Moon and Parker were good defenders. I just said they were the only two serviceable defenders on that team.

I'm not gonna argue with someone so out of touch with reality, but none of that made sense. JO overrated ? Soft ? ok

And you called Moon and Parker above average defenders, that's a bit stronger a description than serviceable
