    that's true about Steals per game... but having a high number of steals every game on a consistent basis is telling of a good defender...

    Here are the Quality Steal Defensive Games for both in their first 3 seasons (+3 Steals, less than/equal to 3 fouls)

    Paul - 65 (Kidd had 58 during this time period)
    Kidd - 59

    Both are relatively equal.
