    Wolves and Bobcats Discussing Trade

Rumored to include McCants, Jason Collins, and a 1st round pick for Gerald Wallace.

However, many other players could replace Wallace as the one(s) going to Minny.

This possibly sending McCants back to Charlotte with Felton and May. Weird.

    Discuss.

MJ trying to build team Carolina?

    I wouldn't trade Wallace.

I like Wallace a lot so this would be a good deal for the Wolves in my opinion.

If this trade goes through, the Twolves having Jefferson and Wallace would be a nice duo

I hope we don't give up our first round pick, maybe one of the other 3 or 4 we have.

Other than that I love this. We need a guy like him at SF. Brewer is still learning and Gomes is passive.

McCants will be great with good coaching, I love him here because he's the only exciting player to watch but Wittman hates him and has dicked him around with minutes since his beginning here.

MJ has been playing too many videogames.

The Minny GM must be sniffing that uncut coke if he gives away a 1st round pick.

Our GM has been sniffing something strong for a long time.

As a Bobcat fan I would hate to see Wallace go, but that deal looks pretty sweet. We desperately need some size, and a first round pick sounds very nice. Wallace is a very underrated player he tore up K.G. last night.

i dunno, Collins doesnt really qualify as size to me, Wallace prolly grabs more rebounds than Collins will.

Seems like a pointless trade imo.

Collins is useless...his best days if he had any are behind him...

Would be pointless but if Minny is giving a 1st round it's a good deal for both sides. Minny is going to have a high pick, nothing will change that, Gerald Wallace is a good player but he ain't changing that. Of course MJ hs to pick a good player with that pick.

I don't see the trade going down without that first rounder, then it makes just no sense for Charlotte.

Re: Wolves and Bobcats Discussing Trade

Gerald is that dude. Read the FreeDarko book section on him and Josh Smith if you want your mind blown with some ridiculous stat lines.. they're both so very awesome.

This seems like a good deal for both sides -- Gerald needs to get out of Charlotte's offense so he can run (plus Larry/MJ never seemed committed to him). The Bobcats desperately need another big body (Collins), and another young shooter/scorer who can handle the ball is always good (McCants), and they'll have a nice pick in 2009. Maybe Minnesota is giving up too much with the pick involved (I don't think so, but Wallace does have those concussion issues), but unless they added another player (Gomes or something), I don't know what else they would do to make it work.

My dream was Wallace running with Golden State, but that ain't happening now that they did the Crawford deal. Free Gerald!

EDIT: Plus, Brewer is apparently done for the season now with a torn ACL. He hurt it against Denver I guess -- he limped off after a play and actually came back to play later in the game, but I guess it ended up being pretty serious. So yeah, they're really hurting for a SF now.

To be fair the Wolves will have four first round picks in this next draft. This draft is said to be weak...

I like the 1st round pick aspect of it. But I do not think we need another shooter in McCants.
