Re: Folks Are Finally Seeing KG Is Really Soft (Stolen)
I was trying to stay away from all of these KG bashing threads but I cant help myself after reading all of the post on this one.
First off the Celtics are not KG or Paul's team, they are just that a team.
If they where one mans team they would be just like the Lakers but they are not they are a TEAM. Not one individuals team.
KG is the defender and rebounder most nights while Paul is the clutch scorer. If one of the two didnt do their job the TEAM would lose.
Again it makes me laugh when I read about KG being soft or under rated, did no one watch the season his TEAM had last year? Or the record setting start they are off to this year? lolComment

Just like Born said, coaches can only do so much. Look at the Wiz, they get all of these defensive minded coaches with great X&O pedigrees but it comes down to players/talent. The fact remains that KG makes the Celtics a great team by making those around him better.Comment

I like what KG is doing, I find it funny. He's like a chihuahua yipping around at everything, and a total front runner too. It's great. Because of his antics, it makes me want to watch otherwise boring Celtics games.Comment

Re: Folks Are Finally Seeing KG Is Really Soft (Stolen)
I am not questioning KG is great. Nor is his role unimportant. I am merely saying Paul Pierce is the guy I look to when clutch time.
Garnetts offensive game is so soft. He is a 7'0 jumpshooter. Nothing wrong with that but that is why I call his game soft. He would rather face up and shoot 20 footers than play in the post. When in the post he often fades away too.
KG is somewhat soft mentally. He will shy away from taking the clutch shot. He has shrunk in the big game moment in the past. Paul Pierce has shined in these situations. That is what I am comparing.
His offensive game being soft because he's a 7' jumpshooter....okay. cool. so tell me the 5 seven footers in this league who are bangers that actually count. please.
You sound more like a guy who watches sportcenter highlights than actually has played ball so Im gonna just let it go. "paul pierce has shined in these situations". and that makes him not soft right.Comment
