I would love to have Walker back on the Celtics as a bench warmer. He doesn't do anything useful on the court, but when he's on the bench, it's really a thing of beauty to watch him cheer the guys on.

Although, it would be nice to see a little wiggle every now and then.

Both really good three point shooters.
Both make a very good sixth-man.
Except for some small little details.

James Posey is a hustle player, quick for his size, and is a good defender who can guard 4 and sometimes all 5 positions.

Antoine Walker is neither of those things, and I'd hardly call a career 32% 3pt shooter "really good".

I love my UK players and represent them as much as I can, but you are way off on your comparison and assumptions.

Toine is a very good spot up three point shooter. He is a terrible terrible shooter off the dribble.

As a former Celtic fan in the late 90's- early 00's I watched him take so many stupid six dribble between the leg step back threes.

I think he would be a nice fit in Boston. If anything because he can help that bench get shots. He is a great creator for someone his size.

Hell no. Antoine has no place in Boston. If Ainge signs him I'll burn down the Garden.

I can't stand that guy. Such an utter waste of space on a contender at this point.

If he does return to the Celtics, it'd make us that much better. We'd have an elite bench (not that we don't right now)
Lol at easily replacing Posey. I thought you were being sarcastic until everyone took you serious.

Have no idea if Walker has anything left.. I doubt it.. but if he does, the Suns should nab him quick. They should have gone all out for Dice.

Antoine'll be a bigger waste of space than Scalabrine? I know Heat generally dont like him because of the horrible year he had after the championship season but he was really good for them in the playoffs, i'll never forget him doing the shimmy from his *** in game 6 (i think). When he did that i knew at that moment the Heat werent losing.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

I'd rather bring Bill Walker up from the D-League than sign Antoine. Unless we get Antoine just to wave towels and wiggle, that is something I'm definitely down for.

Re: Antoine Walker getting a buyout from the Grizz

Walker to Boston probably won't happen.

Former Celtic forward Antoine Walker said he expects to be bought out of his contract by today by the Memphis Grizzlies. The Celtics are seeking a veteran forward, but NBA sources said Walker will not be considered to be re-signed. Walker, a three-time All-Star in Boston, has not played for the Grizzlies this season. An NBA source said yesterday afternoon that the buyout was being worked on. "I'm hoping to get a buyout," said Walker, who averaged 8 points in 46 games for Minnesota last season. "Then maybe I can go and talk to a few teams and hopefully move on to a better situation." . . . Darius Miles, who spent the preseason with the Celtics, has signed with Memphis. Miles has served one game of a 10-game suspension and could return for his first regular-season NBA game in more than two years Jan. 4 against Dallas.
