That is a joke right? Also, you know that twelve players are selected to each team right? Pick seven more for each conference big guy. I'll address your egregious selections after you do that for me.

Maybe I'm slightly biased for Josh Smith because I get the luxury of seeing pretty much every Hawks game, not that I watch all 82 games but I catch at least half. Still think the man is quite deserving, even over Ray Allen. Every time I watch it seems like he's blocking shots like crazy, and he's just flat out exciting to watch. His scoring is a little low, but hey, I still like him over Ray Allen.

That may make me an idiot, but just remember, idiots have votes, too.

                        Re: Your All-Star Ballot

                        It should probably be:
                        East Starters (voted in)
                        G-Allen Iverson
                        G-Dwyane Wade
                        F-LeBron James
                        F-Kevin Garnett
                        C-Dwight Howard

East Reserves (coaches pick 2 Gs, 2 Fs, 1 C, and 2 wildcards)
                        G-Devin Harris
                        G-Joe Johnson
                        F-Paul Pierce
                        F-Danny Granger
                        C-Chris Bosh
                        G-Vince Carter
                        F-Caron Butler

                        Notable Snubs
                        G-Ray Allen
I can see him easily making it over Caron Butler and if the Celtics keep up this torrid pace, it'll probably happen because the coaches will want to see the Celtics get 3 All Stars to reward. But in that case, if the Cavs also keep up a record-setting pace, do you try to sneak in an extra All Star for them? That's usually why I just tend to pick the most deserving players instead of awarding spots based on team success.
                        F-Antawn Jamison
Could make it over Caron Butler but the .473 shooting percentage they share looks more impressive on a SF than a PF. Caron also shoulders more of the scoring and ball handling than Jamison, so coaches will probably go with Caron over Jamison.
                        F-Al Harrington
20.8 ppg and 7 rpg are nice but coaches are gonna be able to see that he is a product of the system. Way too many more deserving guys to give Harrington serious consideration.

                        West Starters (voted in)
                        G-Chris Paul
                        G-Kobe Bryant
                        F-Tim Duncan
                        F-Amare Stoudemire
                        C-Yao Ming

West Reserves (coaches pick 2 Gs, 2 Fs, 1 C, and 2 wildcards)
                        G-Chauncey Billups
                        G-Brandon Roy
                        F-Dirk Nowitzki
                        F-Carmelo Anthony
                        C-Al Jefferson
                        G-Tony Parker
                        G-Steve Nash

                        Notable Snubs
                        G-Deron Williams
Tough to handle because of his injuries. He's still averaging a high number of assists (10.1) but his cumbersome ankle injury has limited his scoring and his ability to stop other PGs from scoring on him. I expect his scoring to rise quickly as he gets healthy but I'm not sure it'll be enough to give him a good case over Parker or Billups. If Deron can lift his averages to around 17 ppg, 3 rpg, and 10 apg by ASG selection time, expect him to make it over Parker or Billups.
                        F-Carlos Boozer
Similar situation as Deron. If Carlos misses 20 games, can you really justify putting him in the ASG?
                        G-Kevin Durant
3rd leading scorer in the Western Conference. However, Melo probably takes his spot due the large difference in rpg and apg (8 and 3.6 to 5.1 and 1.9).
                        C-Andris Biedrins
Putting up stellar numbers but there really is only one reserve C spot in the West with the positional depth of the other positions and that had to go to Al Jefferson. Sorry. Same goes for Marcus Camby.
                        G-Baron Davis
Too many good PGs in the West, if he had gone East he would've probably made the team. As it stands, he's only the 4th best PG in the West. His .380 shooting percentage kills him although his numbers are very good.
                        G-Jason Terry
Scoring is very high but doesn't contribute enough in other aspects to warrant a spot over the numerous guards in the West.
                        F-Zach Randolph
Numbers certainly indicate that he deserves consideration but the West is very deep at the forward position. I'm not sure he's enough of a coach favorite to get any real consideration.
                        C-Shaquille O'Neal
Doesn't really deserve it over anyone mentioned ahead of him but the game is in Phoenix and Shaq has been a bit rejuvenated at points this season. Shouldn't get real consideration but he could be an injury replacement.
                        MLB: New York Yankees
                        NBA: New Jersey Nets

I totally disagree about Josh Smith. He is too inconsistent and he has missed games. If other guys are coming to work everyday then I think they should be chosen first. And if they have missed games then they have to playing at a very high level. Josh Smith is not playing at a very high level.

I agree with you about there being too many deserving guards, but there arent many playing better than Terry right now, and there arent many guards that have been more important to their franchises than Terry has been over the past 5 seasons. He is definitely one of the most underrated Mavs and one of the most underrated players in the league.

I know there arent supposed to be "player appreciation" picks lol...but Terry should have made an all-star game by now. It would be a shame if he finished his career without an all-star appearance as good as he has been.
