They officially put themselves past the Lakers on my list last night. On ESPN I saw Pierce move his lips to "Joke" or "choke". Either way this is a disgusting way to represent this sport.

In 20 years on watching ball I have never disrespected a team like this and it's really sad because IMO this is one of the best teams of this decade.

I hope something really bad happens to that franchise.

20 years? So you mean like 14/15 years of the Celtics not even being in the playoffs, including being brutal for a couple of those seasons? Something really bad like guys who were expected to be big parts of the team die young? Yeah, I think the Celtics franchise went through enough between their last two championships. Maybe you should just sit back and take the beating when they beat your squad.

And the thing that gets me is all of the new disgust at KG. Some of y'all (nba fans in general) are acting like you found out Santa Claus isn't real with all the hate. KG hasn't changed, he was barking, yelling, getting on all fours, taunting, yelling mfer at no one and everyone and **** talking in Minny and last season, just you decided it was OK and he was intense and had heart, it was OK because he hadn't won and you could cheer for him. Now when Boston fans still think that way they get treated as though they're in denial.

Now he's a champ and his team is running amok on the league (again) and you say "this isn't how a champion acts, he's despicable wah wah wah" well I say there shouldn't be a double standard for how you label him before and after a ring. If all that mess is something he thinks helped him get that ring, why would he stop after he got it? Wouldn't it stand to reason that he'd intensify it in his quest for another ring?

Is KG even louder this season than before? Maybe, but that's his right because ****, what can you say now? Obviously as others have pointed out, he's far from the only one who undergoes a complete personality change when he steps on the court (CP3). All the teams talk, and maybe i'm wrong, but I disagree that its not OK for the champs to talk the loudest.

Yes. Since last year, when everybody screamed they were gonna win it all. I hate when they do that and i always hope for that team to lose.

Boston WILL lose to the Cavs in the playoffs this year.

Nah, it's hard for me o hate a team that dismantled the Fakers in the fashion that the Celtics did this past year. For that alone they get my head nod of respect. There is no organization or fanbase of a team from any league of any sport that I hate as much as that one and it's been growing in me since it was sowed in the 80s.

Why would they bring it up? Like I said earlier, this thread would be more than 6 pages now if another player brought it up because there would be nothing but "Oh he's just jealous because he doesn't have a ring yet" or "He's just hating because he's on a sorry team" or "he needs to worry about himself" etc, etc.

It is kind've funny seeing throughout this thread how some people in here can justify KG's taunting of other players and cursing the opposing team's fans out but yet if a player like T.O or Randy Moss pulled some **** like this, we'd be all over him about how selfish they are and what a d-bag they are.

At least the double standards here on OS are real consistent though.

You telling me when you lift you don't get angry? That's the only way to get a great workout. KG gets angry at his competition and then goes all out. It makes sense if you think about it. Not justifying it just saying.

This thread reminds me of when all the young people liked the "Fab Five" and the older heads thought they were punks because they trash talked and wore their pants to long. They wanted them to act like Duke but if you read stories Latineer, Hill, and Hurley talked just as much trash.

If you didnt hate the Celtics before they won the championship and now you hate them, its either because they beat your team or you hate all the attention thats is being giving to them similar to people hate for Duke, Yankees, patriots, or Notre Dame football

Yeah exactly. People are laughing at my comments, and I would have too if I wasn't such a follower of this team. But KG is just a crazy mofo. When we first got him, Ray Allen even made remarks about how ridiculous his language was in practice (lol, obviously Ray would be the one to take issue with that right). If he's doing it in practice, there's no reason to believe it's "fake".
