True, but it can make an above average player look like a great player.

Sloan is a system heavy coach and doesn't make adjustments according to players and it works for him, so that is correct that Boozer benefitted, but he played well in Cleveland too.

I just dont see much in a PF who doesnt block shots, not too athletic and loves to foul

        Re: Carlos Boozer Opting Out

I'm probably the biggest Jazz fan on this forum, and until I read about this last night, I loved Boozer. But, now, I hate his guts and just wish we would trade him. He said at the beginning of the year that he wouldn't talk about the offseason until the season ended but now, he's opting out? Well, we all knew he was going to do it, but the timing is horrible. What kind of idiot sits out 15 games and then says he's going to opt out of his contract at the end of the year? Boozer's a moron. I hope whoever signs up realizes that they're signing the biggest wimp in the game, who can't play defense and isn't that great on offense.

Get Boozer out of Utah, KOC. We'll make a playoff push with Paul Millsap and Memo Okur and at least we'll have some D and a player that won't choke.

He's injured way too often for my tastes. I would only offer him about 8 Million a year with performance and game percentage clauses...

So the owner of the Jazz said it was one of the top ten dumbest things he has heard a player do in the past twenty years, re: Boozer opting out and the timing of it

Don't see him coming back lol

No, I have. I just thought that we were talking about basketball, not using movie jokes on each other.

If his kid has sickle cell I doubt he would resign with the Jazz anyway. I imagine the altitude would mess up the kid's ability to take in oxygen.

Don't do it Joe, and Curry needs to stop throwing the word elite around like beads at Mardi Gras.

"Without Boozer, they're still a really good team," Pistons coach Michael Curry said. "With Boozer, that takes them to the elite level."

"Any time you have Millsap coming off your bench, you're an elite team in this league," Curry said.

"Deron is tough," Curry said. "He's had a great career thus far, and he's emerging as one of the elite point guards in this league.

What he did to Cleveland was pure scumbaggery. However, in this instance, I think people are overreacting. Players do this all the time. He's giving Utah an opportunity just like anyone else. He's not intent on leaving(yet).

"I don't see why I wouldn't (become a free agent this summer)," Boozer told ESPN.com on Wednesday. "I think it's a very good business decision for me and my family, but I'd also like to see what happens with the Jazz and stay here."

But why say it now, when he's sitting out with an injury that most (read: 99.9% of players in the league) would have been back with by now? Hell, he was only supposed to miss a week. And it's been a month. With a hamstring! And every game, it's the same thing. "Oh, I'll be back in time for the next game." Every single freaking game. He's supposed to be this big tough player, but really, he's a wimp.
