Re: Slam Magazine?
It is an incredible magazine imo. I love the inside stories, and the hip hop-esque theme. The cover's are always very sexy as wellComment

Re: Slam Magazine?
I'm also a big fan of the magazine. I've been reading it since like 2001. Unfortunately I haven't read it in a while due to school and my growing hatred for reading lol. But it's always good bathroom reading material. I need to resubscribe. It's changed so much since back in the day. I always have a good time looking through old Slam mags at the "Punks" section and reading about all these high school kids on the come up that have turned into NBA or NCAA stars.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Re: Slam Magazine?
Haven't it subscribed to it in about 7 years.. but I remember back in 95 or 96 when I first got on Slam's jock.. man those were the days I truly loved basketball.
When they came out with the Kickz edition.. wow.
Edit: And I'll never forget when they came to my high school in little Lake Oswego, Oregon in 2000 to write an article on then senior Salim Stoudamire. Man oh man Slam was like religion back in those days.
It was like the internet. I knew about all the college studs before they were studs because of Slam.Last edited by ex carrabba fan; 01-15-2009, 03:33 AM.Comment

Re: Slam Magazine?
I do sports for The Boston Globe/Boston.com and they are always sending us free SLAM issues for some reason, we don't really subscribe. But I always give it a good look-through, read a whole one today, solid interview with AI and a nice piece on Rudy Gay.Comment

Re: Slam Magazine?
I used to love SLAM. Too much info on the intranetz to pay for print media now tho. FYE duped me into a subscription over the summer...I had almost forgotten how good it was as a sports/hip hop/culture hybrid mag.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
