    Yes it would suck to be on EST, having to stay up till all hours of the night to watch sporting events. I guess people probably get use to it. But last time I checked San Diego was still on Pacific time, so when I get off work at 6pm PST I should be ok.

        A basketball game that starts around 9pm isn't going to last until the wee hours of the night. Besides, it works both ways. We get those 1pm Eastern tip-offs on the weekend, so we can sleep in later.

                yeah, I suppose it's just a trade off, you guys stay up later and we wake up earlier. I know when I've been on the East Coast for football season I couldn't stand having to wait until 1pm for games to start, so I'll take my 10am tip off. At least it's all live and we don't get tape delayed junk like all the other TV.

                        When they say that something (like a sitcom for example) is coming on a it's "regularly scheduled time--except in the west coast", that means you're getting a tape delay? Or do they show something different?

                                It comes on during its regular scheduled time, same thinng you guys saw just 3 hours later. Most of the time it doesn't make a difference, but a lot of the shows that you vote on and stuff (which I don't really watch) the west coast gets screwed on because the voting is already over by the time we see the show (American Idol isn't like that, but who watches American Idol). The funniest part about it is that we can read on the internet what happens from you East coasters and then ruin the show for others, if we were so inclined.
