I think what some of you Brand supporters are missing is the fact that he really doesn't make a team any better. I liked him a lot, but the painful reality is when you really needed him to score in crunch time he really couldn't come through very often. He is a good player, but 18 and 10 on 39 minutes a game when it doesn't seem to come when you need it, is misleading.

Chandler has an awesome amount of talent, and depsite what some are saying he has really improved this year and worked hard. Lately he had an ulcer so his game was off and he missed a few games. He does things that are incredible he is a bright guy and I think he could be an excellent player.

Your missing the fact that Brand played 1 season on the BULLS, who had no one back then. They were a joke. And now, he plays for the clippers, who are just a bunch of young guys, playing selfishly for contracts. I'm not a fan of Brand.... but u say the points come when they dont need it? When does a team not need points/boards/blocks? I mean, 20 points is 20 points!

thats what Philadelphia did. drafting 2 SG's, Stackhouse and Iverson. Iverson played point at the time, but he really plays like a SG. look what happend..one of them had to be sent away. MIcheal or Clyde would have to go if both were drafted.

I read somewhere if he was drafted by the Blazers, he would of been on the bench, and people wouldnt of realized his greatness until he left, or someone else was, to get him into the starting lineup.
I wish i still had the link.

Ok. Maybe Chandler has more upside, but i mean, what determines upside? Just becuz he is younger? Brand has put up better #'s in his first 2 seasons, and at the same age, his #'s were better. You cant denie that.

              Oh well. Time will tell.

Brand entered the league at age 20 I believe...Tyson is only 19.

By my calculations that would make him 20. And 21 when next season rolls around.

First Brand played two years for the Bulls, and I can say that he didn't score when they needed it, cause I watched him for two years, and although I liked him, It became apparent that he was a complentary player, not a go to guy, if he is your second or third option then he would really help your team, but as your main guy he just doesn't cut it. He scored 20 points a game for the Bulls because someone had to, they gave him the ball all the time. 20 points a game doesn't mean you are being effective. He is good on the offensive boards but part of that is getting his own misses.

I like Brand he is a good player and seems to be a good guy too, but as much as I wanted to see him succeed with the Bulls I realized that he wasn't going to be the kind of guy you can build your team around. Chandler may never have the offensive game of Brand but his overall ability may end up making him a better player than Brand.

Chandler as averaged 14 and 10 since the AS break, 2 blocks too. Hmmmmmmmm. His numbers are getting closer and closer to Brands ya know. Doesn't matter though, Curry is better than both of them. And about Jay Will, he was NOT a mistake. Lets see him run outside of the triangle offense...
