The Bucks got another dose of bad news today when it was revealed they would be losing center Andrew Bogut for an extended period due to a painful lower back injury.
Bogut will miss a minimum of eight weeks with an incomplete stress fracture, the team announced. He will be re-evaluated at the end of March.
The 7-foot center has missed a total of 13 games, including nine of the last 11, with back spasms. That leaves the team without two-fifths of its starting lineup, since guard Michael Redd is out for the rest of the season after tearing ligaments in his left knee on Jan. 24.
The Bucks were 5-8 without Bogut in the lineup over those 13 games. He also missed three games early in the season due to a bone bruise on his left knee, and the Bucks went 0-3 in those contests.
