Very few of my games have involved many lead changes or comebacks. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this trend. I may be wrong.....just an impression.

Catchup Logic in ID2003??
I have played about 30 games of Inside Drive. I like the feel of the game, but I am wondering if the game uses any catchup logic. I win some and lose some against the CPU which I like because it is realistic, but it seems like the game usually follows the same script. One team jumps out to an 8-10 point lead by the end of the 1st quarter. The losing team chips away, but just when they get to within a point or two, the winning team suddenly can’t miss a shot and quickly rebuilds their lead. The opposite happens too. It seems that when the winning team starts to pull away, they all of a sudden can’t hit a shot and the score comes right back to that 8-10 point lead.
Very few of my games have involved many lead changes or comebacks. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this trend. I may be wrong.....just an impression.

I actually didn't notice it until you just pointed it out. It's kinda like that in the NBA nowadays-Jay Illestrate, Emcee/Producer/Graphic Artist

Can't say I've noticed. I had one game with me as Boston v Nets with about 15 lead changes though...Comment

I've noticed this too but I have seen enough games that are not like this to keep it from being a problem. I'm in my season with Houston and I played the Mavs a few days ago. I jumped out to an unheard of (for me) 22 point lead early in the 2nd quarter. I tried to just keep playing my game but by the start of the 4th they had eaten away the lead and I actually fell behind by 3 points before pulling out a 3 point win at the end. I've played several games where either my team or the AI pulls away by 10 points or so and then the other team comes back. I've also had games lately where I swap the lead back and forth the whole game. So basically after all that I think there is a slight catchup logic but it's not there in every game. I think a lot of it has to do with people getting a lead and then screwing around and blowing it or getting behidn and then turning the D up and taking better shots and catching the AI. It seems that no matter how hard I try I change the way I play when I'm ahead or behind. When I'm behind I always have a voice in the back of my mind telling me that I will be able to come back and make a game of it. Most of the time I do but I'm not sure if it's my playing style or the catchup logic...Comment

I think there is some catch up logic in the game. Runs happen in the NBA but this isn't like that. It's not something you absolutely can't stop or too bad in general but it's there. Sometimes it's irritating, sometimes not.Comment
