well, i haven't been here in a really long time, but i just had to say i've been waiting for this game for months and i'm just happy it's almost here, i'm kind of sick of playing sim-type games... i just can't wait til they come out with the NFL version of 'street', tho it will obviously be called something other than street.

It would be nice if EA BIG would come out with the NFL version of Street, but they're probably worried about it cutting into their Madden cash cow.

I can't see how an NFL version of "street" would hurt Madden. Isn't EA BIG a whole SEPERATE division of EA? The cash flow would go towards EA BIG and wouldn't really cut into Madden all that much if the NFL game comes out in the middle of the season or later.

It's still all the same company. I think a quality NFL version of this game would cut into Madden sales to the point where EA doesn't think it would be "cost effective" enough to produce one. I know it's a different animal but a game of this type could hurt sales for next year's Madden. Why haven't they made one yet?

the only reason i mentioned nfl street is because EA Big is already developing the game. IGN was talking about it on their website, and it's allegedly supposed to come out sometime this year, tho the date might get pushed back to 2004.
