If the 2012 USA Team Can Only Carry TWO Point Guards; Who Makes It?

    CP3
    Deron
    Rose

Or if you think anyone else will contend.

Just IMAGINE them ONLY picking two; meaning don't tell me that they might pick 3. That would make the question way too easy
    Concrete evidence/videos please

By that time Rose should be the best PG in the league, so Rose would be a lock. As for the 2nd PG, it'll probably be Paul.

Assuming they accept the invitation if invited:
        CP3
        Homer Pick: Devin The Dude
        Non Homer Pick: Deron Williams.

Explain please. This is three years from now and CP3 will be in his prime. He'll be 27, Rose will be 24. Physically and mentally, CP3 will either be improving or at his very best.

            QFT.

Reason IMO...his jumpshot would be fine tuned, he finishes strong, his defense would be top notch...

It didn't take Paul long for him to have the title of 'best PG in the league'. It took him 3 years. He had to leap frog Nash and Kidd and at the same time compete with his fellow draft classmate in Deron Williams. And it's not really unanimous. There are some people who would take Williams over Paul. Persoanlly, I'd take Paul.

By 2012, it's not like Rose is going to be head-and-shoulders above the competition. It'll be like it is now when you compare Paul to Williams. It's a close race but majority of people would take Paul. In 2012, the debate will be between Rose and Paul with most people taking Rose by that time. And Williams will still be in the debate at that time also. When your dealing with this type of dissuccsion, it'll never be a clear cut winner.

I just think Rose is that special of a player. Paul is quick and fast. Williams is strong. Even though Rose is not better than either player in their respective physically abilities, he has a touch of both. Paul will never be as strong as Williams and Williams will never be as quick/fast as Paul. Rose is capabale of being both.

I am amazed at how many people still sleep on D. Williams.

Can't go wrong with any combination. They won't take only 2 point guards.

I can't see how any argument would convince me that there are 2 clear cut players, and that one should sit out. Sorry.

I'd go with CP3 and Rose also, simply because they are more pass-oriented than Deron (since he has a much better jumpshot, rightfully so) and that's the role of the Team USA PG. With all those finishers, I want the guys who can set everyone up.

Deron will be on the team though, because his size was a big advantage to us against other PGs. They'll take all 3 if at possible, I'm 95% sure of that.
