In the east, I like Detroit. It depends on how far their defense can carry them. Out of the west, I like San Antonio to be the represenative.

Doesn't the NBA re-seed after each round? I think they do. If that's the case, some of your predictions are impossible. Example: I saw someone had Pistons and Bucks in the Conference finals - can't happen. If they both win their 1st round, the re-seed would mean they play eachother in the 2nd.
I think I'm right on this one.....for a change.

Hockey reseeds not the NBA.

I think the NBA is trying it this year....
From ESPN.COM:
Following are the first-round playoff matchups which would take place based on the current NBA standings. The division winner with the best record in each conference is seeded No. 1, the other division winner is seeded No. 2 and the remaining six teams are seeded Nos. 3 - 8 according to their won-lost records. Home-court advantage in all playoff series is determined by better won-lost record, not higher seeding.

I'm pretty sure they don't re-seed after each round. What they are saying here is that home-court advantage is determined by your record, and seeding has nothing to do with, in the case of 1-3 in each conference. Like if the 4th place, or 5th place team in the west happens to make it to the finals against the 1st place team in the east. If that west team has a better record, it still has homecourt, even tho that east team is seeded higher. As of now, there is no re-seeding after each round.Comment

Re: Official PLAYOFF PREDICTION Thread***
Well, I think of reseeding as moving brackets and matchups around. This is just homecourt advantage. Like for instance, if LA beat the TWolves, the Kings beat the Jazz, the Suns beat the Spurs, and the Blazers beat the Mavs, then the placement would look like this.
Kings
LA
Blazers
Suns
Then, with these seeds, the Kings would play the Suns, and LA would play the Blazers. That's how I see reseeding.Comment

Re: Official PLAYOFF PREDICTION Thread***
What that means is that the 2 division leaders are the top 2... Spurs and Kings... Mavs are 3rd even tho they had a better record than the Kings.
That column has nothing to do with reseeding.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment
