tony battie is ejected!!!??? wtf!!!??? if anything, ron artest should be called with the flagrant and/or technical foul. artest was the one who kicked battie right in the head, so battie got mad at artest and got a little to physical and fouled artest hard. but battie at least went for the ball and even tried to help artest up. and after all that, artest hit a camera. so artest should have been ejected in the first place. i think the refs just gave artest a break here, but trust me, artest won't get away that easy again.

I like the Celtics shot selection in this game. Seems they are trying to work the basketball inside first instead of quickly firing up 3s, which is a far cry from what they did offensively in the regular season. Nice to see Antoine Walker banging down low on both ends of the floor. Walker is very good with the ball down low on the blocks, and I wish he would post up more often to take advantage of that. At any rate, the Celtics are still in the game with Paul Pierce struggling with his shot. Boston can really make a run at Indiana if/when Pierce gets it going. The loss of Tony Battie is gonna hurt 'em though. Battie's by far the Celtics best interior help defender.

it looks as if the pacers are starting to pull away in this game now. they lead 52-44 with 2:11 left in the 1st half. they are still shooting very well, 56%! jamal tinsley has 11 points, 3 boards, and 7 assists. jermaine o' neal has 14 points and 4 boards so far.

eric williams, FOR THREE AT THE BUZZER!!! the celtics needed that three badly, and they got it. 2 treys by boston in the final 21 seconds to make a 12 point game into a 6 point game. still, indiana leads 58-52 at the half.
