NBA 2k3 - Hidden Playoff Rankings?

i have been simming in nba 2k3 today just to sort of pass the time. well.. in about the year 2010 i drafted a player named "niko pavlovic" well.. niko was a stud till his 10th year in the league.. and then his ratings started dropping..
niko averaged around 25-30ppg in his first ten regular seasons.. he also averaged 25-30ppg in the playoffs.. well when niko started dropping in rating i didnt resign him. those next few years.. he only averaged 15 to 10 ppg during those years his rating dropped from an 81 to a 61.. but yet! he still would average 25-30 ppg in the playoffs.. he was a 61 rated sg and he averaged one year like 28.6 ppg in the playoffs..

now i have another end of the spectrum..
the player i chose to replace him averages close to 28ppg in the regular season.. but when the playoffs comes around his average drops to 18..

so my question is.. do players have secret playoff ratings we dont know about?

maybe it has to do with clutch ratings?

If there was a rating for this it would be clutch ratings wouldn't it?

If so, I think thats pretty cool. Gives you a reason to keep experienced players, even if they've got declining ratings.

Maybe, just maybe, the years of experience has a part to play?

Sounds like a real cool feature. One Reggie Miller comes in mind... Add to that the older players guiding the young ones and you've got a whole another layer of strategy

I don't know if this has anything to do with it but when i put Kobe Bryant's and Tracey McGrady's ratings identicle in every single catagory Kobe was rated 99 and McGrady was only 97.

Maybee there is hidden ratings you can't change like a clutch rating or experience rating or something like that!

It's obvious...Kobe is just overall better.
