Yeah, I'd rather have Jones and Billups on the floor than Billups and Carter for long stretches... Carter is a solid defender, but that size mismatch is just too much unless we're playing the Mavs or something...

Well it looks like we don't have to worry about how many minutes he'll get as he will sit out the rest of the regular season with his "back injury".

I don't think it's the injury, although I do think playing limited minutes does effect his injury alot more because of him getting stiffened up and mentally also.

Well it's becoming water under the bridge for the Pistons as the organization has stated AI will miss the rest of the regular season and playoffs (if they hang on to make it):

Allen Iverson to miss the rest of the season

Also, Sheed will be coming off the bench from here on out.

            WoW Sheed off the bench?

Really Curry doesn't have a clue what he is doing nor no respect!

I think AI and DET probably just cut ties IMO

The bottom line is that both AI's and Sheed's contracts come off the books at the end of this season, so the team is looking toward the future. Kwame Brown has played much better as a starter alongside Antonio McDyess and also provides solid interior defense and rebounding. Sheed can come in with Will Bynum and Jason Maxiell and light up bench players from other teams. Sheed will be able to drift along the arc as much as he likes since Maxiell will be the main guy roaming inside the paint on offense.

Damn as a HUGE fan of Iverson I hate to see things go down like this. I mean nobody really thought the trade would be that good but I don't think nobody expected it to crash and burn like this. I hope this isn't how his HOF career is going to end. Hopefully he get on some team next year and turn things around.

Atleast the knicks knew what they were doing when they went this route...........Good luck Piston fans.....Never understood why Dumars where called "a great GM"

Sorry Kruza but future and Mcdyss shouldnt be in the same.....

And I can understand why Dumars was called a great GM just like I can understand why people are now calling him a bad GM.

Just because McDyess is starting now doesn't mean he'll be the starter next year. The best course of action is to have him start now as he's been playing better than Sheed, and Sheed still has the annoying tendency to drift along the arc instead of posting up. It's never good to have two perimeter-oriented big men on the floor at the same time, so it was necessary to split Sheed and Dice up. The coaches have decided to pair one with Kwame and pair the other with Maxey. The Pistons will have over $30M of cap room this summer which should be more than enough to work a deal to bring in a quality frontline starter in to ease the transition phase.

And I don't see why it's so tough for people to understand the Pistons went this route. If you watched and knew what happened to this team back in the early- to mid-'90s then you'll easily know why.

same paragraph, sentence, quote, lineup, rotation etc....

Could care less if sheed or A.I come off the bench but if your planning for the future why not start maxiel or johnson instead of Mcdessy if your gonna bench sheed?(would this lower the morale even more?)..to me it seem like this team has no direction under curry sorry just my opinion....All the the cap room in the world wont make up for a bad coach...This guy's rotation is NBA2Kish....

Guess everything would come togather next season....since the multiple firings after ECF appearances I never understood Dumars but thats just me....

LOL Im not tryna turn this into a flame war but he said the team is looking towards the future BUT yet they are starting Dyss over some of their YOUNG "lil big men" IMO this tell me the team have no direction right now...yea Dyess is playing better but are u still pushing hard for the playoffs or are you looking at next year?

Starting sheed is gonna be just as bad as benching him unless he is really cool with that...I personally think its more to the story...

A.I, we talkng about A.I here sitting for the rest of the season becuz of an INJURY, yea Ok!!!! Some of these players may just dont like the guy(Curry) if you ask me.....showed on the court...
