Re: Who would You Start A Nba Franchise From Start With???
It's a pretty tough question right now, because a good portion of the league's best talent is way young.
Opposed to thinking about it for an hour and analyzing it to death, I'll just say who first popped into mind: Dwight Howard.
But there's easily ten other guys I'd be comfortable with, if not more.Last edited by Village Idiot; 04-10-2009, 05:27 AM.I am become death

i would go with dwayne wade as of right now.......Kobe is the obvious choice but he's gettin a little old. Lebron & Wade are neck & neck but i go with Wade b/c in my eyes he brings a little more to the table.Comment

LeBron... no question. Although CP3 is intriguing, having the chance to build around a player that is so versatile and is also probably the most amazing player in the league athletically is something that you can't pass up. He's a good deal younger than Wade, and has a greater potential to carry a team on his own than someone like Dwight does due to his position and being able to control the ball most of the game.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

If I'm starting a franchise for the next several years, the answer is LEBRON. Clear cut, no question. The only player you could argue that's better than him right now is Kobe in terms of skill, but LeBron is right behind him, plus he has more physical tools. Not to mention that he has a lot of time to improve and develop. (how bout practicing some more FT's?) As far-fetched as this is going to sound - LBJ has the potential to average a triple-double, who else in the NBA is gonna touch that?Comment

Chris Paul?
I'd still go with LeBron James... but Paul does deserve mentioning.Comment

Well i believe wade is a better on the ball defender.... Also he's a better scorer if i'm starting my franchise and this is just me i want a scorer. Also he's got that killer instinct showed in his finals mvp run we gotta see what Lebron does this year. Wade is single handidly carrying this team on his back.Comment

Chris Paul would be my pick.
I've always felt that your chances for success are much higher with a dominant PG than any other position. Paul can get his own shot but he's really great at setting up his teammates for good looks and plays pretty solid defense.Currently Playing:
