because Dirk takes more overall shots, and more from the perimeter (but you are only talking about .487 compared to .479 anyway)...and Dirk averages fewer turnovers than Bosh, even though Dirk handles the ball more than Bosh

btw, speaking of FG%...Nowitzki is one of only three players in the history of the NBA to have shooting percentages of 50/40/90 in a season



Bosh is a really good up and coming player obviously, and he is going to get even better...but it is craziness to assert that he is as clutch or more clutch than Dirk

the fact that dirk takes more shots and shoots a lower % does not support him being more efficient... the plain truth is he is not more a more efficient scorer... if he was he would shoot a higher %....

Dirk's career playoff average is 25/11, in 89 career playoff games

...and Dirk has led the postseason in rebounds per game and also in total rebounds before

but regardless of their rpg averages, Dirk is a more skilled rebounder than Bosh



Dirk is a main reason why Dallas has been a winning team in the first place, won 50 games for 8 straight seasons, and made the playoffs for 9 straight seasons.

Bosh is a top, all star caliber player obviously, but he is not in Dirk's league

are you honestly trying to say that Bosh is a better more efficient scorer than Dirk? that is crazy. Their FG % is basically the same, but Dirk shoots it from all over the floor as the go 2 guy, while Bosh is more limited in the shots that he takes.

Bosh is a good scorer obviously, but he hasnt been the elite scorer that Dirk is. For you to simply look at FG percentage in a vacuum and say that determines who is the more efficient scorer is ridiculous man.

btw, why dont you look at what has happened when those two players have gone against each other head to head in their careers...i dont think Bosh has ever got the better of that matchup. In fact, Dirk usually torches him.

that said, Bosh is really good obviously. He is an all-star, and is going to do nothing but get even better. I hope he doesnt resign with Toronto so Dallas can get him. Dirk and Bosh together would be unstoppable.

dirk and bosh together wouldn't work...

but i'm not saying bosh is way more efficient... they are around the same fg%... when it comes to effiency field goal % is what you base it off of man... what else would you base it off of? for a player to be more efficient means he shoots a higher percentage... that's pretty much the definition...

edit: i guess you could factor in getting to the free throw line but still fg% probably is the most important factor...

by the way, posting a box score from when bosh played a bad game does not mean much to me... we can do that for any player in the nba...

I dont know why you chose to compare him with a group of Duncan, KG, Amare, or Dirk. That is a losing comparison to any of those four imo. Bosh doesnt have a comparable resume yet

but Bosh doesnt have to be in that group to get a max deal anyway. He is a premiere player at a premiere position that is only going to get better. I bet Bosh gets a max deal from someone.

i dont think i brought those guys up someone else did... i was just pointing out that he has pretty much been just as productive as all of those guys... which is true... they are just all on better teams...

No he hasn't. His complete lack of defense this year keeps him FAR FAR below Duncan and KG and his offensive game wasn't or isn't as good as Dirk's or Amare's.

How many of those guys at age 24 start 77 games and win 30 in the East? The closest are KG and Kobe, but they were winning 2-3 more games with less help and in the West.

The only way I see a Bosh led team winning the championship is in another city where he can pull a KG and "lead" 2-3 other All NBA players to the chip. He's good enough to build around in Toronto because they don't have any other options, but aside from Milwaukee, no one else would build around him.

With less help? thats a ****ing joke. The raptors have the worst starting sf and sg in the league, Oh I suppose our sf is alright now.... Granted that was only for like the last 30 games. A center whos is still developing and plays mostly on the perimeter. Our bench is **** maybe the worst in the league. Outside of Bosh our team is crap. Dont say Kobe and Kg have less help. Oh and Bosh is worth max only because we cant lose him. His defense is brutal and his rebounding is alright at best.

AlexBrady being completely inaccurate once again with his assessment of NBA Players. No surprise there...

PackMan, I have been of the opinion that Dirk is a top 10 player in the league since 2004. He is an elite offensive player, active defensive rebounder, and his defense has improved (mainly because he has mysteriously bulked up recently).

That video was just an example of Dirk coming up a little short in the playoffs. He is still reliable though in the 4th quarter. He is below some of these guys as deadly 4th quarter scorers though:
Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Paul Pierce.
