Interesting schedule for the next 2 days

I dunno if anyone has noticed, but the NBA schedule for today (Wednesday 4/30) and tomarrow (Thursday 5/1) looks pretty interesting.
    Here's what it is.
    Tonight:
    Hornets vs Sixers (Phi 3-1)
    Magic vs Pistons (Orl 3-1)
    Blazers vs Mavs (Dal 3-1)
    Jazz vs Kings (Sac 3-1)

    Tomarrow:
    Celtics vs Pacers (Bos 3-2)
    Nets vs Bucks (NJ 3-2)
    Spurs vs Suns (SA 3-2)
    Wolves vs Lakers (LA 3-2)

Does that seem weird to anyone? All the 3-1 teams play today, and all the 3-2 teams play tomarrow.

And what's up with the scheduling? We had some days with 3 games or even 2 games last week, and now there are 4 games each day. With a good amount on NBA TV, which I don't get, I will miss games that I want to see. I think they really messed things up this year. I hope they get it right next year. Or at least give NBA TV to those who paid for the League Pass.

Well, NBC wasn't about to shell out more money than what ESPN/ABC bid for the rights, so this is what you get for 5 years.

True, it's bad that all the games aren't on regular cable TV, but I'd prefer it this way compaired to taking 3-4 months to finish the playoffs the other way. Are they keeping this excelerated pace up for all of the playoffs or is it just a first round thing to make up for playing a best of 7 instead of best of 5?

I think this pace is just for the first round, since it was expanded to a best of 7 instead of 5. I'm also pretty sure that the length of the playoffs are gonna be the same as it always has been, which is about 2 months. It takes about 2 weeks for each of the rounds to finish. Hopefully, everything will be finished up by tomarrow.

I say go back to the 3-5-7-7 format when they first went to 16 playoff teams. You get the playoffs over by late may/early June. Ratings would be much higher also.

The schedule is just messed up. How can you alienate millions of fans if they don't have NBA TV? Sad if they have it this way for 5 years.
