Re: I feel bad for KG

Uh, did I miss something? Is this the same KG that signed for 120+ million for six years? Did KG think that other players should take deep discounts just to play next to him when he signed that kind of cap space away from the T'wolves? He deserves to be in this situation. Whenever you sign for that much money, you have to accept the fact that you'll be the guy there. They wont be able to sign highly talented players for market value when KG is taking 20+ million dollar chunks off the payroll each year. He'll sign for the maximum wherever he goes, I guarantee it. But he will sign for less that what he's getting, only because the player's agreement of fixed salaries doesn't qualify him for that high a salary.

Poor KG, that's what karma does to ya,

Ok, first of all, when KG signed his enormous contract, the current bargaining agreement, salary cap, luxury tax, and all that stuff wasn't put into effect yet. The Wolves had no idea that that stuff was going to be put into effect. The reason they put all that in was because of KG's crazy contract.

Second, KG is awesome. I really do feel bad for him too. He did everything he could, but just couldn't get past the 1st round again. He plays with so much energy and focus now. Even when he's just sitting there, you can see it in his eyes. I hope that he will eventually win a ring. He deserves it. He just needs a scorer with him. Wally is a shooter, not a scorer. Hopefully the Wolves can pick someone up for him this summer. Good series Wolves, and KG.

Shakobe is right, and it wasn't his fault Kevin McHale made so many bad decisions. He should just bolt while he has the chance. He could use a change of scenery, because Minn. is not going to win a ring anytime in the future the way they are going.

Wait shouldn't we credit the wolves for actually winning 2 games? This was by far their best playoff performance and they really got some surprises by players stepping up like Mark Jackson and Troy Hudson...Now they know thought that they overpaid for Wally Szcerbiak who had a bad playoff series.

And the worst thing about Wally, his new contract kicks in this coming year. I think it's like a 6 or 7 year $60+ mil contract. He's not worth it.

I honestly wish KG would go to a different team. He's simply the best all around player in the game right now, and yet he'll have nothing to show for it if he stays on this Wolves team.

By the way, KG's contract is not a problem. Terrell Brandon is making very juicy money, about half of what KG is, very respectable money. Of course, Terrell hasn't played in a few years. Joe Smith is also making $5 or $6 million. The problem isn't KG's contract, it's where the Wolves are throwing the rest of their money.

Also, it's kinda hard to lure guys to play basketball in Minnesota. Not exactly the ieal environment.
