    Pure Vinsanity

Just so people -- primarily Kobe and T-Mac fans -- don't lose sight of who's the real highlight-reel king of this era, here are a few movies showing clips of Vince Carter in action. Most of which are prior to his last two injury-plagued seasons. This is a must-see for all basketball heads.

As a basketball fan, it will be great for me to see Vince Carter completely healthy again. He may not get as many opportunities to pull off these type of plays again due to the admission of zone defenses, but the NBA will no doubt be even more exciting when he gets his share off.

Im sorry but his dunks got old quick man, once he stopped dunking.....where was he? NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, because his game is not as advanced as KOBE's or Tmac's or Iverson's. He simply known for his dunks, he never had one of those crazy take over games for which KOBE and Tmac are known.

First, I wasn't trying to compare Vince Carter to Kobe, T-Mac, and Allen Iverson as far as saying who's the overall better basketball player. It's about recognizing who has the most highlight-reel quality plays in his career. I'm seeing/hearing this and that about the sweet things that Kobe and T-Mac has done, yet no one these days seem to recall the amazing things Vince has done just a few short years ago which makes their stuff seem pale in comparison. I'm just bringing back to light who's been the man when it comes to making highlight-reel quality plays.

And furthermore, Vince Carter's game is just as advanced as Kobe, T-Mac, and Allen Iverson, plus he has the ability to dominate ball games like they have done. VC does a lot more than dunk, or else he wouldn't have averaged 25+ ppg for most of his career. Obviously you haven't takes a look at the movies, or else you would've noticed that he pulls off a lot more moves than dunks when taking off to the basket. Aside from the injuries he suffered, VC's problem is that he doesn't have the same kind of passion for the game as the others have, and he often lacks the motivation to take over games that he's capable of doing. VC doesn't display the kind of selfishness, killer instinct, or desire that's required in order to be a premier player of the league. I'm not saying it's a bad thing for Vince not to have these traits. But in terms of rating the elite NBA players, VC will always be rated a notch below Kobe, T-Mac, and AI until his attitude dramatically changes and he displays this more often while playing.

Ok I guess someone didn't see Vince perform against the Sixers a couple yrs ago with his 50+ pts games. If those aren't "crazy take over games" then I don't know what are.

My favourite Dunk that he ever pulled off was not an in-game dunk tho. It was the 2nd or 3rd of his dunks at the All-Star game in Oakland. Those were amazing dunks.

If Carter doesn't get fully recovered and only be seen in the national spotlight when he pulls off great dunks once in a whiel then he's going to be remembered in much of the same vein of Dominique Wilkens.

Yea i know he had 50 point games, its just that they are very rare for him, and most of his highlights are dunks and not gaming winning shots or plays. Although i gotta admit that my fav #1 dunk of all time is Carter's dunk over that center in Summer games in Sydney.
