Know one comes close to NY with their hopes and dreams of getting LeBron.

The Rockets should definitely let Mac walk...but if I were Houston, I would keep trying my luck with Yao. If nothing else...they got out of the first round this year and have been competitive with the Lake Show.

Letting Yao go would be a mistake in my opinion. I think the Rockets just need to continue building around what they have now. Try to see what they can get for T-Mac, and go from there.

It is a mistake. Yao's and T-Mac's don't come around too often, and when you've got both you've got something special.

HOWEVER, the two players KEY to Houston's chances of a ring are never EVER there.

        So what do you do?

Hope that maybe they can bring in some talent on the cheap to be able to rest Yao and T-Mac more?

Expect better things out of the draft to give Yao and T-Mac help so HOU can compete while the two hobble around on crutches trying to get back to competing?

At THIS point, it isn't inconceiveable to start looking for better HEALTHIER options - w/o ties to a not so humane country .

Would've helped had they had a Rudy Gay to start working with huh

Seriously though, Neither of those guys are 1a options and together it just didnt work because the necessary talent wasnt there around them.

They were blown out almost by the same score by the Mavs in game 7 for the same reasons. They had cheap undersized talent like David Wesley, Ryan Bowen and Bob Sura who played half a season and got paid for about 4 seasons.

Why I started the trade tmac thread in the beginning of the year is because 5 years is long enough to know if its going to work or not and its not.

That's the problem with wasting talent you have. The windown doesnt last forever... hear me Mr Sarver!

If you can get anything usefull out of T-Mac out of a trade do it...Seriously the guy is always injured and it seems like the Rockets are just fine without him. If nothing decent comes up...I would say just keep him and hope he gets healthy...Because we all know how T-Mac plays healthy...MVP status. TBH I think his career is slowly coming to an end.

Never thought I would hear Sura's name in a discussion again.
