In the 2007-2008 Season I Remember Lakers still having one of the best records out West. Now before Pau Gasol came into the picture, The Lakers still were proving to the leauge that they were in pursuit of a championship. Kobe also complained that year about the team not being so great, but he still carried the load before Pau Gasol was traded. I defiantly think they would have had at least went to the Western Conference Fianls that year, without Pau Gasol.Don't know if they would have gone any further, of course.

The Lakers in 07-08 and presently
You got to admit Paul Gasol is a great player no doubt, but Do you guys think The Lakers still could have went to the Finals without him?

They wouldn't have made it past the Spurs without Gasol and Bynum, imo. Remember Ariza was also hurt during most of the playoffs, so Lakers would have been short handed.Originally posted by ClutchCityYou got to admit Paul Gasol is a great player no doubt, but Do you guys think The Lakers still could have went to the Finals without him?

No chance at all. They wouldn't have got past the second round and probably the first round given thier record would have been different and they would have had to play somebody instead of the Nuggets. They only two teams I could possibly see them beating last year without Gasol is the Nuggets and the Mavs.Comment

no way.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

YES, with a healthy Bynum. and by yes, i mean... maybe.
Remember, before Bynum went down, the Lakers had the best record in the league (or just the west, 2nd to Boston right). So I say they still make the finals WITH a healthy bynum."Well the NBA is in great hands but if I had to pick the single greatest player on the planet, I take Kobe Bryant without hesitation." - Michael Jordan, 2006Comment
