Richard Hamilton is evolving right before our eyes in the playoffs. Early on in the season, Rip was primarily a spot-up midrange shooter who was very effective in coming off screens, while occasionally taking the ball to the hole. Now in the playoffs, Rip has been putting the ball on the floor and driving to the basket more often to get off layups or that 2-handed runner in the lane. Plus he has been developing a turnaround jumper that he goes to whenever posting up smaller guards. He has been shooting 3s better. And let's not forget he's still deadly with the midrange Js off screens. We are witnessing a more complete offensive player who is beginning to enter the prime of his career.
Oh, and there were a select few people who said early in the regular season that Rip wouldn't do a thing in the NBA Playoffs and couldn't be a leader on this team that Jerry Stackhouse was, even though Rip is doing both now with flying colors and is performing in the playoffs way better than what Stack had done last season. Time to pull out that crow and fess up, people. Don't make me go and dig those old threads out. :-P
