Its Funny Watching the Old NBA Drafts

SMH @ Charles saying he would take Jay Williams or Caron Butler with the first pick over Yao. Injury aside, why take Jay Williams when you already had Steve Francis? Caron Butler with the 1st pick? LMAO

SMH @ Joe Forte being Red Aurbach's favorite player in the 2001 Draft.

Butler finally grew up a couple years ago and turned out to be a 2 way player and is currently the best player on the sad sack Wizards. Yao will be a first ballot Hall of Famer (and deservedly so) when all is said and done.

There isn't a team in the NBA who wouldn't be a "sad sack" team with the Wizards' injuries.

The team as currently constituted (the not so big 3 being the core) hasn't won a playoff series in years.

Simply noting the arcs each players' career took. Why? I felt like it.

Gilbert Arenas is worth 2 extra wins (margins they lost a couple series by)? The defenseless, shoot first ask questions later Arenas is worth 2 wins in the playoffs?

The best is the '85 draft when they show Ewing's player card overlay and for "Strengths" they have "are you kidding me?" as the only one.

In 2006-2007, a healthy Wizards team would have been playing Toronto or Miami and in 2008 they'd have played Cleveland at home.

They win one of those series.

Marvin Williams was a terrible pick then and even worst now. I didn't know Bobcats considered shipping 5, 12 to move up for Paul. woulda coulda shoulda

I like how the Knicks fans boo everybody. Ex Nene pick

It's always a highlight to see the drafts from the mid 90's to see some of these absurd outfits. It's like every player thought dressing like Huggy Bear was a great idea. But truthfully i dont think anyone will ever top the jacket that Drew Gooden wore.

As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"
