Re: Foye/Miller to the Wizards
This deal makes the Wizards a deeper team and barring injury, a contender in the eastern conference. Miller will be will in Flip's system, and hopefully he can shoot a good 3 pt % like historically he does and as David Aldridge states, both Miller and Foye are under 30.Comment

Re: Foye/Miller to the Wizards
Foye is a mediocre combo guard who still has no idea how to play acceptable defense.
Mike Miller is a good shooter from the outskirts and as a plus scores economically. He is a surprisingly good rebounder on the boards as well. He still isn't an adequate defender though and he didn't play with much heart at all last year.Comment

Re: Foye/Miller to the Wizards
When you factor in that Minny will likely do NOTHING productive w/ the big anyways...yea...it is. IMO two established players w/ soon-to-be expiring contracts is better than anything the Wiz would've picked at 5 WHEN you consider the current corps in the "win now" approach.:wink:Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Foye/Miller to the Wizards
The only players outside of Griffin and possibly Rubio (both who would be long gone before the 5 pick) who can be actual pieces on a legit team are Evans and Jennings, both of whom have the for-some-reason-important "character flaws."
I don't think Curry, Hill, or Harden would help us now, soon, or in the distant future. Now, for a team like the Lakers, Spurs, Celtics, Magic, or Cavs, maybe they'd have a place as the 5th-7th option, but as core building pieces, I don't see it.
To be fair, aside from the Lakers, Cavs, Spurs, and Celtics, how many legit title contenders are there?Comment

Re: Foye/Miller to the Wizards
I am really going to miss foye on the team, he was actually looking really good towards the end of the season next year, I am anxious to see who they take in the draftComment

Re: Foye/Miller to the Wizards
It's a typo, guy. I just realized it while watching PTI and fixed it now.
So, anyone else think that the Timberwolves will go with Stephen Curry if they don't shop the #5 pick? I've heard that they may trade 2 of their 3 first round picks (#5 and #18 or #5 and #6) for a shot at Rubio in the Grizzlies' pick.Last edited by Shinyhubcaps; 06-24-2009, 10:15 PM.Comment
