nash- not likely, but he is a very good outside shooter.

finley -- very posible but he will be playing the 3 postion and will have to face the tough defense of bruce bowen.

    raef- forget it, won`t happen!

van exel- perhaps, but i don`t think he can keep up with this pace forever. this playoff season he`s been playing the best he`s ever played in his entire NBA career. so it won`t last forever.

Killroy, you say that Dirk is not a threat from the inside? Have you even watched any Mavs games this year? Dirk is a threat from ANYWHERE on the court, including inside. He will drive to the rack, and post up when needed. watch him tonight and see how many times he catches the ball in the post with his back to the basket, and either takes a turnaround fadaway or pivots to the cup.

The 7-footer is a threat from anywhere, and a matchup nightmare. If SA puts a big man on him, Dirk will shoot from the perimiter, or drive to the lane. If SA puts a little guy on him, Dirk will post him inside or shoot over him from the outside. If SA puts Duncan on him, Tim will be tired at the end of the game having to chase Dirk all over the court.

Also, i get tired of people saying Dirk cant play D. He has been averaging over 10 defensive rebounds a game in the playoffs. Dirk usually takes a small forward on defense. It is crazy that Dirk can usually stay in front of much smaller players (on defense) that should be much quicker. Defense is not his strength, but it is definitely not a weakness.

Have you ever seen a 7 footer that can grab a defensive rebound and proceed to take it coast to coast to the hole before the defense even knew what happened. What is Duncan going to do about that?

Dirk can, indeed, score inside. He's still developing that part of his game, but he's already a threat there.

tonight i doubt dirk will get over 21 maybe 22 points tops. i don`t see him lighting it up for 30-40 points like he did against those "weak" defensive teams.

Yeah riiiight, Dirk going for more than 25.
                Dallas in 4. heheheheheheheheheh
