Re: NBA Inside Drive 2004 Interview Questions

    1) Please for the first thing High Voltage needs to do is fix thier spin move.

    2) While the graphics look cool, they do not look realistic.
In my opnion Nba Inside Drive looks to cartoony.

    3) Please implement online play
    4) Make your game unbelieavble with an incredible post season

    5) Last but not least at least once every 2 years something crazy should happen in the game, A broken backboard, player falling onto fans, I mean just give us something wild but realistic

    , peace

Re: NBA Inside Drive 2004 Interview Questions

          1. Will you be adding IN-GAME music? Lots of it please... you know, just like the NBA does. Also crowd chants, ohhh's and ahhh's. Crowds really getting into a game. More sounds and music everywhere.

          2. Will you please call goaltending when players literally take the ball off the rim (and sometimes out of the basket)? That's frustrating in ID 2003.

          3. Can you please tone down the offensive rebounds overall, but especially on missed free throws? Like 70% of the time the offense gets the ball back on a missed free throw, and that's just incredibly wrong.

          4. Will you tone down the catch up speed on the defense? I mean, If I break away 4 steps in front of the defense with J. Kidd on an outlet, and I turbo down to the other end, why is it big old fat centers always can manage to get back down before me?

          5. What do you think of the possibility of dunking the ball go to a "direct dunk" style? Where the player has to manually hit a button to do a dunk instead of a lay up... perhaps even have it to where we could chose the dunk by holding down a button then pressing a corresponding button to a particular dunk.

          6. Will you tone the steals down by default? Steals are kind of rare in the NBA... they shouldn't happen every other time down by default.

          7. Will you call fouls more frequently and realistically? Reach in and touch fouls would be great. Lots of shooting fouls, just like the NBA.

          8. Will online play be a "set" way to play? I hate it when a sports game allows the full gameplay being customizable in online, cause we spend 10 minutes waiting for each opponent to set up exactly how he wants the game. I think just setting it to Veteran, with Strict fouls or something like that, and not allowing any settings to be changed is the way to go online. What's your plan in this regard?

          9. Did I mention in-game music? Well, it needs to be mentioned again. ID 2004 so badly needs this. Please add tons and tons and tons of in-game music, just like the NBA does it.

          10. Will you add player controlled diving out of bounds for balls this year?

          11. Will you add any bump mapping to the game? I think it would be great for certain things, like the ball and the uniforms.

          12. How about some depth of field visuals?

          13. Will you add sweat to the players?

          14. Not so much a question as a suggestion. But I would like to see a "deke" bar. And once it charges up, that player can do a deke. But for different players it charges differently (faster or slower refill), or in some players cases, they don't get a deke bar at all! Iversons bar could charge faster than anyones, but where someone like Shawn Bradley wouldn't even get a deke bar (cause he can't deke). Also, doing a crossover could take away from this bar. This would allow for awesome moves, but keep it under control because players couldn't constantly abuse it... and it would help separate star players from scrubs.

Re: NBA Inside Drive 2004 Interview Questions

Some great suggestions there shpankey. Going on from the Direct shoot idea. I think it would be a great idea to actually have a "dunk" button. In otherwords, if you were running towards the basket and press shoot your player would ALWAYS attempt a layup, UNLESS they hold down the "Dunk" button.

This would make the game way more realistic and give you more control over the offense. If someone tried to abuse this feature, like for example, holding down the button and trying to dunk from too far out then they would make themselves look like a fool like Ewing in the 95 all star game (I think it was this one) when he tried to dunk from too far out and ended up chucking the ball at the backboard! or if you tried dunking it in traffic over too many people and end up getting whacked, stripped or blocked (which may lead to a shooting foul).

But above all, this would allow you to choose to do a dunk at a more appropriate time like on a fast break rather than sometimes have someone like Kobe or Francis lay it in when in reality they would slam it home. On the opposite side, It would also cut down on too many dunks in traffic.

I think one of the NBA Shootout games had this feature.....
