McCoy has a point. And that was what I was trying to tell him when he was bashing on AI. Numbers alone do not make you the G.O.A.T. It’s the other little things that do. I said Kareem did A LOT of things, but he isn’t considered the Greatest, because Jordan wasn’t 7’2” (They didn’t call Kareem the Giraffe for nothing) he was 6’6” and Jordan didn’t just about everyting right, not to discredit Jabbar, but that’s what made him so great. He could fly threw the air, he could rebound, block shots, shoot, defend, and he had taken the heart of the people. Jabbar probally isn’t considered that great, because the NBA doesn’t like Muslims, and the fact that Jabbar didn’t have the impact with the people and kids that MJ had, because of companies like Nike and Gatorade. But Jabbar is definetly top 5. I think he beats out Wilt for that top 5 spot. I mean the guy average 43 a game one year!!! Definitely he is right there with Jordan, its just most people don’t know much about him.

        Uh.........no.

Wilt, Shaq, Russell, and Hakeem were better.

So were MJ, Bird, Magic, Oscar, Dr. J, and plenty more.

So will Dirk, Kobe, McGrady, Garnett, Duncan, Kidd, Malone, Webber, Payton, and plenty others when their careers are over.

Kareem was a good player, but hardly the best.

I hope you are being sarcastic. Dirk, Payton, Hakeem, Malone?? I really don't think so. My view on the subject is this........There will never be one definitive "best" player in the NBA. Just like there isn't one in baseball or in football. Kareem is one of the Top 10 in the history, but to me, the top 10 are pretty undistiguishable from each other.

What Kareem not the best???? He isn’t right there with Jordan??? Did you read the stats??? Have you seen him play?? I think someone needs to actually watch the Giraffe play before he voices his opinions.

I like Magic, but the Big O had already done what Magic has done. Except for the fact that Magic won more championships. Have you seen anybody that has accomplished what Kareem or Jordan has done??? I don’t think so.

The only people I'd put in front of Kareem are Chamberlain, Jordan, Robertson, Pettit, Bird, and Baylor.

All anyone has to do is watch ESPN Classic when they show old Buck's games. Kareem (or Alcindor) was a beast. He was big, fast, and quick. He completely dominated the game on both ends. Nobody could guard him. We only remember him barely getting up the court at 40 with the Lakers, but he was flat-out unstoppable in the 70's. Please show Kareem the respect he deserves...
