Anyone get ID 2003 to play like a TRUE sim?
The game's really good out of the box, but has anyone actually made the game come really close to being a true sim? If so, could you please post what you did in general to achieve this?Tags: None -

Yes. And it has shown me how HARD the NBA cap system really is!! can't trade can't release. It has shown me the S**tty job Larry Brown has done for the past six seasons (personel wise)

I don't understand. Are you talking about updating your rosters or something? My question was about improving the game by making the stats more realistic for the players. They're getting way too many rebounds. I play as the Knicks, and rebounding should be a major problem for my team, but it isn't. Both Antonio McDyess and Kurt Thomas are grabbing over 10 boards a game. Basically, I was wondering if someone has fixed the rebounding in this game and how they did it, along with any other changes they've made to make the game more realistic.Comment

The sliders won't do anything to fix the game's rebounding problem. It's the player's ratings that are messed up. I know a couple of people were working on getting accurate rebounding stats, and I was just wondering what they did in general.Comment

You can fix the sliders by going to the options menu, selecting player abilities. that's where you can fix the sliders for the actual game. However, if you want to fix the player tendencies sliders you'll need to go to general manager in the main game (can't in season mode), go to edit/delete player, then select the player you want to edit and cycle through the options. There are a ton of sliders for that, I just wish that it would have been more clear on what sliders would we use to impact a particular aspect of a player's game. As it is right now, just moving one slider back and forth will hardly impact the player's game at all. It seems like there's a number of factors at work in the rebounding and stuff, so it's very confusing and will probably take a ton of work just to fix one aspect of the game.Comment
