They just knew he'd be a dick about it (as he's been a dick aobut basically everything he's done professionally) if he ended up there and they decided to take Randolph instead. He's used to being in the playoffs and playing on a good team, going to the Gizz would be like getting demoted from high school to 3rd grade, especially to someone who's kind of a malcontent to begin with.
