The point was...this is for the morons, as I am sure most people got the point...the crowd should have stayed and stood for that team after the two seasons they have just had...

I get it and I agree. I hate these "fans" who leave before the game is over because their team has already won or has already lost. Stick with the team and watch the game. I can't count how many blowouts I had to watch the Warriors endure last year but I stayed till the end.

Exactly.

I can empathise with fans leaving early during a normal game.

This was not a normal game. This was their final home game of a great season. Game 5 of the FINALS.

If your not standing and applauding at that point in a franchises history, then you don't deserve them.

Why not stand and cheer and send them to San Antonio knowing you are still behind them and think they can still win? Why not stay and stand at the end to say "thanks for back to back eastern conference titles"?

This Jersey team dereved that.

Nobody can argue that most Nets fan are loyal or hardcore, and I'm a diehard Nets fan. It pains me to say this, but they would probably be better off playing in Long Island in terms of fan support.

NBA Finals consists of 7 and count them SEVEN games. Not 5, and besides what makes you so sure that the Nets won't have a similar if not a better season next year.
