Spurs obviously don't need Kidd. They're not a running team and that is where Kidd thrives.

The thing is, as good as he is, I'm not sure which teams will give a PG a max contract at this stage. Kidd definitely led the Nets' rise, turning them from doormats to Eastern Conference champs last year.

If someone gives Kidd a max contract, it would have to partly depend on him helping to sell tickets as much as helping the team. I think Denver could be a good situation for him because they have a lot of young talent, especially in the front court. He could go there and get some of their young guys a lot of easy baskets on the fast break like he did for Martin and Jefferson. They'd be a lousy half-court team too but they'd be a fun-to-watch running team.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> Kidd's gonna stay in Jersey before he leaves for Denver.

I don't think SA is gonna want Kidd. I hope they don't sign him. They already have two great PGs in Speedy and Parker. What they need is a big man to replace Robinson.

<hr /></blockquote><font class="post"> Keep in mind Speedy and a few other Spurs are FAs on July first. All the Spurs core players are under contract and they are going to have huge $$ to spend with Steve Smith's 9mil and Kerr's 5mil coming off the books.

Plus ol' Speedy may have played himself into a starting gig elsewhere. Orlando I just heard is having problems resigning Darrell Armstrong. They want a 2 year deal and he wants a long term... So the Magic may come calling.

THE SPURS DONT NEED OLD/SLOW *** JASON KID
speedy and tony parker have done their jobs, I feel they need for Duncan to move to Center and have Karl Malone run PF that way if shaq fouls tim duncan out, kevin willis will replace him and you till have a guy who can score in the post w/Malone.

Bad bad post. Every team could use Jason Kidd, the question is whether they'd rather go after a big man or get Kidd. Parker played horrible after the first few games in the finals, and Claxton is a nice little player but he's not a great point guard. The Spurs don't really even have a point guard, Duncan's their point guard.
