TWolves at it again Vol. Another PG

Signed Sessions to an offer sheet

Restricted free-agent Ramon Sessions and the Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to an offer sheet at around $4 million per year over four years. The fourth season will be a player option.

Chris Sheridan reports that weeks ago, Sessions decided to hold off on committing to the Knicks in the hopes of a new team emerging.

The Bucks will have seven days to decide whether or not to match the terms of the Wolves' offer sheet to Sessions.

    Great.

Donnie Walsh is so freaking high strung on 2010 that he basically hangs Sessions out there to dry. What would $1M/per do to his oh-so-precious 2010 Cap? Idiot. We'll all look back at this next year when no tier-1 players sign with the Knicks.

Mind boggling...I know a lot of people like what Kahn is doing, but I'm not one of them.

He'll parlay Rubio into something nice in 2 years or so. But yeah, seems kinda odd to go get another young up-and-coming PG in Sessions when you have Flynn. Seems like they need some damn wing help more than anything... someone like Flip Murray would've been better since he can play the 2 capably and can also do backup PG minutes if necessary.

I sort of agree with you, I mean it's not like an elite FA is going to come to NY just because Sessions was added to the roster. I'm worried though because Sessions is a good, young PG for relatively cheap and we have Duhon expiring next year, no first round pick and who knows how much spare cap space after we go after a big name. Next year's FA class doesn't seem to have much in the way of PG's though.

For now I still have faith in Walsh though but it's dwindling. I think every Knick fan expected some minor improvements this off season but literally nothing happened outside of adding our two draft picks. Frustrating. But of course if we get LeBron next summer all this will be forgotten and forgiven.

Just tank it for John Wall... seems simple enough of a solution for me haha. They'll probably get the frozen envelope treatment after the last 8 years or so of complete misery.

I think most Knick fans are smart enough to realize it ain't happening. I still think we shoulda traded for T mac, but apparently I'm crazy. I know we had no shot at J Kidd, but that woulda been cool also. I love Duhon (I'm a big Duke fan), but this puts Nate's agent in a great position. He knows we need him.

We have no first round pick next year. I know that must shock you. The Jazz have it.

Who said he was? I like how every time on OS a Knick fan simply mentions the possibility of LBJ landing in NY every other poster automatically interprets it to mean we believe he's coming here.

There are plenty of Knick fans who don't care about Lebron. We just want Walsh's plan to result in a good, competitive team. Who is on that team is irrelevant. I don't know why imagining all Knicks fans hoping for Lebron brings people so much joy.

                        --on topic--

Don't get this move. In their situation, I don't know why you wouldn't just start Flynn. This is kind of a weird thing.

What's the point for Sessions as well. That's the best he could do in terms of money and location? SMH.

I'm sure, even with next Summer being "the summer to end all summers", he would have commanded more than 4 million a year.

Now he'll be stuck in one of the two worst situations in the entire league for four years. LMAO

Kahn is my favorite person on this earth.

I think Kahn is trying to set up a team that can run with the great rebounders they have up front. I could see Minnesota playing a lot of two point guards, small lineup.

I think this a real good sign.
