I don't mean to brag, but I freakin love this TNT-style Playoffs intro I wrote

I always thought since they were being sponsored by that new X-Men movie around Playoff time this past season, they should do an X-Men-themed intro. Don't get me wrong, the Chess intro was great, but man I wish I could somehow get someone to narrate this and I'd edit the clips together.

    <link rel="File-List" href="file:///C:%5CDOCUME%7E1%5CDJTIDA%7E1%5CLOCALS%7E1%5CTemp%5 Cmsohtml1%5C01%5Cclip_filelist.xml"><o:smarttagtyp e namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" forums="" images="" smilies="" redface.gif="" border="0" alt="" title="Embarrassment" smilieid="2" class="inlineimg"></o:smarttagtype> The athletes of the National Basketball Association are far from ordinary human beings. They could, in fact, be considered… mutants.

While their fiery glares are incapable of slaying the enemy (Cyclops clips + clips of angry stares from NBA players), these nearly omnipotent men show extraordinary abilities which appear to be eerily similar to another well-known faction of superhuman allies (X-Men clips mixed in with NBA clips).

Whether seeing the unseen with extra-sensory perception (Nash/Paul/Kidd assist clips) or fighting injuries that would disable mortal men (Willis Reed/Paul Pierce clips [when they returned from injury in the Finals]), these warriors of the hardwood know not the difference between fantasy and reality.

Some show superhuman strength (Shaq/Dwight power dunk). Some display the ability to continue their attack even while fatigue or sickness encourages them to collapse of exhaustion (LeBron Game 5 vs <st1:city w:st="on">Detroit</st1:city> clips, Jordan flu game clips).

Others control the weather (Storm clips), creating rain (Kobe/Dirk jumpers), thunder (LeBron/Iguodala dunk) and even droughts (multiple blocked shots clips). Some choose to imitate the wind, racing across the land with impeccable speed (Iverson, Parker, Brooks fast break clips), generating deadly tornadoes and hurricanes (Wade/Kobe/LeBron spin move finishes) with the ability to propel their teams to victory.

Alas, there is a common gift amongst all these men that shines brightest during this post-season. Each of these gladiators share an inherent ability to create (clips of standing ovations from the crowd)… control (clips of players hyping up the crowd)… and feed off of electricity and fire.

Those who produce the most will grow stronger (clips of big Celtics plays from Finals last year) and may find themselves able to snatch the energy from their foes (clips of dejected Lakers from Finals).

The Chosen 16 will soon clash, each a team of uniquely-equipped mutants whose powers will collide in an explosion of flair (Rondo/Parker flashy layup), elegance (<st1><st1:city w:st="on">Kobe</st1:city></st1> pirouette jumper against NY) and ferocity (Oden/Chandler power dunk). At journey's end, we will know whose fire burns brightest and will light the torch of the NBA for the proceeding year.

    This is the NBA Playoffs.

That was actually really good. I could see it in my mind. However the ending doesn't really tie into the theme of XMen. It was very good though, I can see it perfectly.

That was nice. You should submit that to them.
