    How long will this stay blank?

    As many of you have probably seen by now..

      At first I thought it was cocky as hell. Now I think it's a good motivation tactic.

              Who said they shouldn't be confident?

              If they don't win it this year, that thing is going to stay blank for years. How many years.. who knows.

              Also, KG's knee is going to be a problem. There have been some rumors about it all Summer.. about it being much worse than is being reported.

              From the looks of it in training camp, I'd be pretty down if I was a Boston fan.

                      Motivation for every other team in the league. Teams will go into Boston and look at that blank banner and say "oh so they think it's a fait accompli, ok then let's kick their asses"

                              Why wouldn't other teams have that same motivation when looking up at the 17 other rafters and 21 retired numbers?

                                      Because a blank banner is rather presumptious (sp) and is a bold challenge to any team that faces the Celts.

                                      I could be way off but that's how I would use it as motivation if I were an opposing coach.

                                          How many other teams are gonna be in the Celtics practice facility?

                                          Doc did a similar thing in 07-08 with a spotlight on a blank space on the wall
