Yes, LeBron is a nice guy. One example is, he didn't hire an agent, he hired his best friends from his High School team as his agents.

Trust me, LeBron is not the arrogant bastard some people try to paint him as.

Nice. How ironic you call LeBron arrogant and then chime in with a comment like that.

If I was LBJ I'd be arrogant. He's one of the best athletes on the planet and he makes millions of dollars. He's a good looking guy who is in his early 20s.

I would try to break Wilt's record.

            Thats not nice, thats dumb.

LeBron is extremely arrogant, he nicknamed himself "King James" in high school. He goes along with all this witness crap. Etc, etc. I don't even want to get into it. He said Braylon Edwards punching his friend is like punching his kid. You think he's not arrogant?

I will give it to him that he has been hiding it fairly well the last couple of years. But anyone who is good at reading people can see he wreaks of arrogance and douchery. I mean, the guy throws chalk into the air and then poses for the cameras before every game, home and away. COME ON.

Anyway this thread is headed for lockdom.

LOL wow. Since when did throwing chalk make you arrogant? I guess KG is just as arrogant as LeBron.

Anyways, this thread is pointless (no offense, OP) because who are we to say who is arrogant and who isn't when we don't even know these guys?

LeBron is incredibly arrogant and selfish. I'm not quite sure how anyone can argue that, every superstar in the NBA is arrogant and selfish.

Chris Bosh isn't Arrogant and/or selfish.

Anyways Lebron strikes me as being arrogant and selfish, a bit venal and maybe slightly insecure.

                    Other then that he's cool.

Re: Lebron James who is he?

I think the real answer to the OP's question lies somewhere in between.

Anyone who makes the amount of money, and has the media spotlight that LeBron does, has to have some amount of arrogance.

Being from Akron, I do know that he has donated a lot of money to help kids in a lot of ways here in town. He has also donated money to the hospitals, and to rehab basketball courts in the area.

I know a few guys in the media around here and a few people who know him personally. Actually I used to work with his cousin. They pretty much all say he is a very laid back guy, who likes to spend most of his down time at home with his family. I know he doesn't go out a lot at all. He is also a big gamer.

So yeah, there is arrogance there, but I think he has a good heart, and is generally a good person.

I get the feeling alot of this LeBron being arrogant/selfish talk comes from the whole 2010 thing and how he's playing it right now. The "DunkGate" thing probably didn't help either.

Oh and for what its worth, Dan Gilbert was on a radio show in Cleveland yesterday and said Lebron isn't going anywhere.

Re: Lebron James who is he?

I've been going to Lebron James games since he was a Sophomore in High School... I wouldn't say he's arrogant in a bad way. To be good, you need confidence, period.

Michael Jordan is an arrogant, selfish [insert name]... Lebron has some amazing physical gifts -- he's human, he makes mistakes and is not Jesus, but he's no Jerk-off. I saw him recently at a St. V football game and he was very kind to all the fans around me ... even waving at me when I yelled at him. He shook everyone's hand who came up to him and was in good spirits the whole time.

Lebron does love attention and does love the spotlight but right now he's earned it in Ohio for all that he's done for us, but he's not on the Ron Artest, Stephon Marbury scale of cocky-arrogance....

He ain't perfect of course, but he's no jerk. He's also an entrepreneur who wants to be mogul like Jay-Z. That's why he met with Warren Buffet a couple years back...

Heck, I don't know him... LeBron doesn't care what some West Coast LA Fans think of him, or what Skip Bayless thinks of him... it's trivial really...

Nice. I wonder what makes him say this and if it's really the truth or if he's blowing smoke up everyone's ***. Hopefully it is true because the whole reason I became a Cavs fan was because of LeBron when he was drafted and ever since then I've grown to be a fan of not just LeBron but the actual team itself and the history of the team. When they lose I'm pissed that the team lost, not that LeBron lost. So yeah, I hope he doesn't leave.

Another thing, I think people hate on LeBron too much for wanting to make a lot of money and become a global icon. I mean come on, who doesn't and if every last one of the people that hate on LeBron for wanting to do those things was in his position or a similar position they would do the same thing whether they want to admit or not.
