This is the worst post in the history of Western Civilization. There hasn't been a posting to cause such talk since Martin Luther nailed his list of grievances against the church on the door.

    Or joke 2:

I haven't seen a message so wrong since Mein Kampf

    These are just jokes

Walton is easily the most quotable announcer in the history of sports. He has so many classics, I have a 10-12 page Word doc on my home PC that has just about all of him. Too many classics to list, but some favorites...

"Kobe Bryant is right handed...and promises to be for the rest of the night"

" ahhh Danny Schayes, son of hall of famer Dolph Schayes. The only way Danny's getting in is by paying $7 admission like everyone else "

"Can somebody tell Jason Caffey that he needs to be a foot taller to take that shot?"

"Derrick Coleman should seriously consider some dribble-handoffs"

Camera cuts to Samaki Walker checking to the game during a blowout... "And this is what it has come to."

On Larry Johnson’s lackluster performance in the NBA Finals: “What a pathetic performance by this sad human being. This is a disgrace to the game of basketball and to the NBA. He played like a disgrace tonight. And he deserved it.”

Walton: “John Stockton is one of the true marvels, not just of basketball, or in America, but in the history of Western Civilization!”
Tom: “Wow, that’s a pretty strong statement. I guess I don’t have a good handle on world history.”
Walton: “Well Tom, that’s because you didn’t go to UCLA.”

I'll post it later tonight, probably the funniest sports-related thing I've ever read.

Walton was one of the best to ever grace the mic.
They are both annoying. They both sound like they have a never ending head cold. And what they say sounds like political commentators hired to say outrageous things just to get the phone lines going.

The only way I could take Walton is when he was teamed w/Snapper Jones. In so many words he'd tactfully tell Walton all that pot he was smoking left him w/no more brain cells than a ******** housefly.

Check the sig, put all those Walton quotes in my blog.

During one of his hilarious game-intros: “Tonight the Spurs look to extend their lead to 3-0 over the Lakers. This time, however, they will have to do it on the Lakers’ home court. Duncan and Shaq have been magnificent for both teams, but so far the edge has gone to San Antonio. However, the real story line that awaits us tonight in Los Angeles is whether or not Kobe Bryant will actually throw a pass!”

That "Chris Childs sucks" quote cant possibly be real. I need to see a youtube because it would probably make me rupture my spleen from laughing so hard.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

Re: Bill Walton hanging em up

He could be annoying, but I loved listening to him talk just to hear his outrageous views. Easily one of the top 5 college ballers of all time(along with Kareem, Russell, Austin Carr and Elvin Hayes). If not for injuries, he'd be in my top ten NBA list.

                            That's just classic.
