Yea...He just needs that killa mentality back. Pre-knee he would've taken that 3 w/o question. It'll come in time as he gets acclimated back to the game and gets his confidence back.

I disagree. Wasn't there like 9 seconds left when he passed it to Brendan? If the pass was on point, that's an easy flush to make it a one point game. Unless you were out of timeouts, that's not a terrible choice to make especially since Miami is not a great FT shooting team since they don't have a guy who can reliably make a very high percentage of clutch fts. Disregard this if I was wrong about the time or timeout situation but the idea wasn't that bad, IMO.

There was about 7-8 secs on the clock when he passed it. The only reason why I disagree was because he had an open look from 3. If the look wasn't so clean then yeah, take the easy 2, foul, and hope for a Miami miss.

Regardless of whether he had a open look at a 3, if i remember correctly, Jermaine O'Neal was really just roaming around not guarding Brendan Haywood whatsoever. I like that Arenas identified that and thought he could get a quick 2 and then foul. Even if Miami makes both you still have a chance at the 3 after that. If he dumped it off to Haywood when he was being covered by a man that's one thing since Haywood can't create whatsoever but I like the idea; obviously he messed up the execution horribly but I don't think the decision was really the issue. Just my opinion I guess, I'll take the guaranteed two points (which it would've been if Arenas didn't throw a terrible pass) and foul rather than a 3 pointer when there's plenty of time to get a quick 2 and foul.
