I'm sure there were better options. Now it's up to Skiles to take him aside and let him know what those options were, and make sure Jennings is better prepared to take them in the future. Part of the growing process, but it's a play you'd expect from a rookie unlucky enough to be the #1 option on his team. Not out of the ordinary for that situation and his experience level.

He needed to pass it then. I like my odds better if he drops it inside to Bogut and lets him work down low.

Rookie mistakes, they happen. I think after how fantastic he's been, I forget he's a rookie and he's going to do things like this.

I guess that is the drawback of having a rookie as your go to guy...he'll become more and more efficient as he gains experience (scary thought)

When Kobe or Jennings can you something like this against a solid defense then I'll be impressed:

The "litte man scoring all the points" act wont win in this league unless you are talking about acronyms like ROY or MVP. Nice for the trophy case, but theres no real future in that. I will reserve judgment till Redd is back and Jennings goes from 25+ shots a night, to 12-14.

Now if someone scores 50+ against a solid defensive team then I'd be impressed.

Kobe Bryant scoring 40 points against a solid defensive team is better than him putting up 60 against a non-defensive team any day.
I never liked these kind of points people make.

People make it seem like it's something so easy to do. Yet, it doesn't happen that often in the league. It's not as if the Warriors are giving up 50 points to a player every night.

Just to put things into perspective:
Derrick Rose's highest point total is 27.
Allen Iverson's career high in 13 seasons is 60 points.
            Magic Johnson's career high, 46.
LeBron James' career high is 56 points.
            Dwyane Wade, 55.
The highest point total all of last year was 61.
Brandon Jennings scored 55 in his 7th game as a pro.

I don't care who it was against, that's impressive. It is NOT a common occurrence.

Now I'm not saying that this automatically puts him among the elite, or that he's going to be one of the greatest. I'm just saying that his performance should not be scoffed at because he wasn't playing the greatest defensive team.

Sure, I'd be MORE impressed if it was against a better defensive team. That only makes sense. But it's still impressive because it isn't going to happen that often, even against one of the lesser defensive teams.

J/p...but I never thought AI was a good comparison for Jennings either. Jennings has always been pass first, since as long as I can remember. Sure, he's as athletic as AI was and as quick, but I've never seen him as the explosive scorer that he's showing now and that Iverson was. He seems more likely to lead the league in assists than scoring eventually.

If he got banned for that comment, that might be the most ridiculous reason I have ever seen someone get banned for considering that there have been worst stuff then that.

Anyway, Jennings is looking good so far this year but it'll be interesting to see if he can keep this up throughout the season.

It wasn't just that comment. He had WAY too many infractions in his history, as well as toed the line multiple times with all his threads and all of that.

Regardless, he's gone now, so let's get back on topic.

On a lighter note, I'm a believer in Jennings despite the small sample size, dude looks like a beast. I'm not a Bucks fan but the next jersey I buy is gonna be his.
