    Now Presenting: Mr.Clutch Himself

Dirk folds folds in clutch situations? Can't get it done when it counts? Euros get beaten up in the postseason? The next time someone tries to diss on Dirk, please link them to this page. Make them eat their own words.

Buzzer beaters, game breaking, game tying, game winners... 4th quarter or overtime... regular season or playoffs, Dirk has gotten it done. These are just what's available on youtube --- a small sampling of all the times Dirk came through in the clutch. Unfortunately, most of Dirk's heroics never make it to youtube.

Buzzer Beating Game Winner Against Toronto in OT

    Interesting Facts:

Nowitzki's career stats ramps up during the playoffs:

    PPG: 22.7 (25.5 Playoffs)
    FG%: 44.1% (45.4%)
    RPG: 8.6 (11.0)
    APG: 2.7 (3.1)
    FT%: 87% (93%)

He has advanced to the playoffs NINE times
He has advanced to the 2nd round SIX times
He has advanced to the Conference Finals TWICE
He has reached the NBA Finals ONCE
He has played in a total of 97 playoff games

Dirk Nowitzki is UNDEFEATED in all 2-way elimination games he encountered in the playoffs:
    • 4-0 in the Game#7 of a 7-game series (Spurs, Kings, Rockets, Blazers)
    • 1-0 in the Game#5 of a 5-game series (Jazz)

I can't understand why some people still question his grit. I think it's mostly from idiots who remember the 5 games he choked on, and conveniently forget the 50 games he was clutch on. Dirk may have had a few stinkers in his career, but that's inevitable for someone with such a looooong playoff career (97+ games!). IMHO, his overall clutch performance remains better than 99% of the players in the league.

    This man disagrees...
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"
