    Dream Dunk Contest

decided to post this because i always wondered if the best of the best faced off in a dunk contet who would win my top 4 contestants along with 4 honorable mentions

    1. Vince Carter - be real people back in the day VC could throw it down with style and authority. his previous dunk contest back in 1999 i believe was insane a true artist or the air

    2. Michael Jordan - It's MJ enough said

    3. Julius Erving - He was Jordan before Jordan even towards the end of his career he was still able to throw down with dunks such as rock the baby

    4. David Thompson - he always put on a show and gave Erving a run for his money back in the 70's as best dunker

    Honorable Mentions

Kobe Bryant - Pretty impressive Dunker when he was young

Lebron James - puts on quite a display of his flying talents in practice trust me i have seen it

Nate Robinson - Krypto-nate does so great for a man standing around 5'8

Clyde Drexler - Another impressive dunker from the jordan era

Clyde Drexler was great. And I think he's one of only few "pure" one-foot leapers after the Dr. J era.

I've never rated Drexler as a dunker but that was beautiful. Truly the glide.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

                  Re: Dream Dunk Contest

Shawn Kemp? I mean, big, rumbling dunker, but not a great Dunk Contest guy.

                  My picks:

1988 Michael Jordan (not that creative by recent standards... Rock the Cradle and the approximate free throw line dunks are pretty standard, and he never did a 360 or Between the Legs as far as I know, but for an old-timer, he was ahead of his time)
                  2000 Vince Carter (obvious)
2003 Jason Richardson (one failed 360 Between the Legs from being 3-time champ... also had off-the-glass alley-oop to Between the Legs)
2008 Dwight Howard (I didn't like the Superman jazz that much, but the sticker dunk in 2007 was really creative, and even though this recent kick of using props can be attributed somewhat to Dwight Howard, he's had some of the best non-prop straight-up dunks since Carter and Richardson)

                  Alternates:
2006 Andre Iguodala (totally got robbed, one of the most athletic guys ever to dunk a basketball)
1986 Dominique Wilkins (power dunker, but it would be interesting to see how he would fare today)
2009 James White (lost to David Noel in NCAA contest by failing to complete a dunk... won the D-League contest last year... seriously can do a Between the Legs from the free throw line)
2000 Tracy McGrady (lost in the Vince Carter / Steve Francis show in 2000 was Tracy McGrady's near-perfect first round... watch the highlights to see what he could do)
