Is it finally ok to start asking again if Kobe is, offensively, better than Jordan?

Shoot me down if I need to be shot down. I was very young when Jordan was playing and although I have watched millions of tapes of Jordan I've watched a lot more games of Kobe.

And of what I've seen lately, this guy is unguardable on defense. I know Jordan has lots of tapes of him doing a lot more clutch and amazing things, but I think Kobe's competition is harder than Jordan. I think if you were to put Kobe now last year in Jordan's role, well that would've been fun to watch.

Am I right?

Ok and also I just want to say I know Kobe wouldn't the way his is without Jordan's influence, I am not saying Kobe is greater than Jordan, just his offensive ability may now be on par if not better than Jordan's.

They might as well put "No Jordan/Kobe threads" in the TOS alongside "Any Dirk thread" and "LeBron vs. Kobe Thread".

It's not ok anywhere because its absurd. Kobe's competition is in no way harder than Jordan's, watch some old Bulls/Pistons and Bulls/Knicks games, some of the stuff they did to stop Michael would get you a 20 game suspension today.

Jordan will always be the greatest...The difference between Kobe and Jordan needs All-Stars...Jordan needed role players. I dont want to say that MJ caused Pippen career to sky rocket...But he did help his team...Because they were always double andtriple teaming Jordan.

AI threads aren't up there with the Lebron/Kobe/Dirk/Tmac threads though. At least not yet.

I'd say no. With MJ I've watched many games where they took a certain aspect away from Air and he would adjust and still drop 30. Example i seem to remember a game against the Brick....err Knicks and they took away the lane so mike just kept dropping jumpers and three's in Starks face.
